    16 out of 18, all those valve covers look the same to me :eek:

    17 of 18. The last 2nd W motor got me. I didn't know the 348 adn 409 dips were on opposite sides.

    Here's how I figured it out...number of valve cover bolts, thin valve covers, and that's a GM alternator. :D


    Not a Small block Chevy...obvious.
    Not a 396 (if so, wrong air cleaner too).
    Not a MOPAR :eek:

  12. Well I think 14 out of 18 ain't bad, 90% of those motors were never released in Australia. Guesswork and deduction on obvious points worked well on some of them!

    I can't beleive that I got 16 out of 18 I thought I would score worse thanks to the hamb I did pritty well.I had fun the 289 got me I should have known it was a chevy by the exsaust mans. after I clicked it ford I felt so dumb. one of the chryslers with the two air cleaners I had no clue . but it was fun coooooooool

    Well, I did a helluva lot better than I did in the mechanical aptitude test, where I had the worse score of anyone (including my wife). I got 17 of 18.

    WTF??? Anyhow I didn't thing I did too bad seeing as half were gm stuff and I am not a GM man hahaha oh well I still did pretty good..

    100% here as well. Like so many I guessed on the 348 too. I used the tri-power as my clue. Now I know about W-motor dipsticks.

    100% As others have stated, the only challange was the dipstick location of the 348.
