  1. I think there's a book about it! It's right next to "How to pick up girls" at Barnes and Noble...

A local guy was at Cruzin for a Cure. They asked him to bring the car back on Sunday. He said he would do it for a featured article in their mag. He got his article.

I agree with other comments.............post the car here and it will be seen by more than any old rag mag...........

hell ive only had one car featured ever and ive had mucho Hot Rods in my lifetime all decent cars.....all ol timey.......

bottom line is .......................is it really all that important?? a little praise from your fellow Hambers is better in my view..........

one problem you have is that everyone has a nice 32 roadster on their block. How many do we need to see?

Or we can just click on your profile to see a pic as i did.
The car's cool but it is typical as well..just like my old 32 so don't think i'm putting your's down....but it dosn't matter what anyone OTHER than the photographer for the magazine think's..
He or she IS the one who has to find it "special"..Not any of us or you for that matter.
As far as your question on how..right place right time..
i don't think there is any rule as to how. If it's going to happen it will, if not, then that shouldn't be a problem as you are obviously very proud of what you have.

By not trying too hard to get a magazine feature.. You can have a great car, but even better is to have a great story on the history, the build, family ties etc. Submitting this via mail or even stopping at a show booth and dropping it off for consideration might help. Keep your ego in check;)

  15. Not a bad looking car. Those radials should get you in any Goodguys Gazette, LOL!!! (sorry Kirk). I don't really see anything about it that makes it stand out though...
Not that it matters but,is it glass?

You misseed my point which was to have fun with your car at an event.

BUT I do disagree with you on your point that cruzn around is just saying "look at me" when in fact I built my car to drive, not park it in a "quite corner". Didn't you build yours to drive as well, not park?? I thought so.;)

    Looks nice ..

Don't worry about if it does or does not get ink ..
    Enjoy your car

Having something in a magazine does not give you a automatic pass to the cool kid club anyway

Speaking for myself it's not at all that it isn't anything special..I do think it's a very cool car..and wouldn't mind having it in my garage..
Just take it to show's...DRIVE the shit out of it and have fun.
Sooner or later someone in the magazine 'mix' will stumble apon it if it's out there to see..and when they do, they may find it worthy of a mag spread.
Just have fun with it man......the mag feature's are way cool..but none compare to the memories made on the road.

Look........Listen.........I am a 65 yr old Hot Rodder whos been doing it since i was 15..........

you have a very nice car, i know you put your soul in it.......do not be embarassed for showing us............

you made such an issue outa the pics and such and also seem hell bent on mag coverage that your naturally goona get some good hearted ribbing here.........

that being said , again its a nice car, steel or glass i dont care !!

keep your chin up........lower your pride..........if its menat to be that your car will be in a mag it will happen you dont have to go looking for it.........

if it doesnt happen.........like i said before ......so what

you can enjoy your buds, your cruises, the Hamb site here and just live Hot Rodding...............the rest will come......

by the way the greatest reward in Hot Rodding is not bragging rights on your Rod, its the friends you make along the way........

    hang tough:cool:

I know all about driving it and having fun guys, its been to the Nats East and Rhinebeck in the rain,so it is getting used.Ive been rained on,hailed on,sun burned, wind burned,I know all about the driving and having fun part.

  23. No need to feel stupid. You have a great car! Noone can take that away from you. You've done a great job.
As for getting into a mag, you have got to be seen! Get to as many events as you can. You'll have a great time and will meet the right people. Being social at events will open many doors.
I met a guy who we have become friends who had a feature and the photographer asked him if any of his buddies had cars they would like to have shot and he called me. My Plymouth and my wife's Desoto were featured in a popular magazine.
Don't be negative about this. Don't be errogant either and people will take notic e.
    Good luck!

I get what you mean. To drive the car, to and from shows, not cruise your car around at a car show. I totally get it, misunderstanding. Sorry Denise.

Sorry man. just puttin' my thought's to words with what i wrote.......
I've had my car's in both's mags and a hard cover book...
How's it happen?? the photographer's either saw it or were told by a friend of thiers at the show we were all at...
Like i said, right place right time.. I wasn't being sarcastic, i was being honest.

As for what you wrote above..it's taken me a few year's to realize it, but THATS what's all about...
    Best of luck..

Haven't you had a shot in the Gazette and been featured as a reader ride in R&C? You said that was all you were after- how many times? If you need reassurance from magazines deeming you "cool enough to print" on a constant basis to enjoy your car you might need another hobby. Maybe get a fancy little show dog? ;)
