Ok Maybe this is a dumb thread but. How many of you have a name for your car? I have a 47 chevy that my father bought in 1966 off of the son of a guy named Clyde. So as a kid I called the car Clyde, still do. I bought a 54 chevy truck and under the seat were love letters from numerous girls addressed to a dude named Cecil.....The truck found it's name, Cecil. So let's hear it whats your cars name?
This comes up from time to time and in some cases, get ugly! Good luck, And, no, I dont have a name for my car.
Yeah,,,my mor-door is called Blackie and sitting next to it is Deuce Roadsters former 40 known as Luke,,,,now owned by Krusty 40. HRP
I find it REAL CREEPY when i am talking to a person & they are calling there car by a name. I have found myself asking "" Who the Hell is Maybelle"" and the person tells me "" My '51 Ford Truck""... VERY CREEPY !!! Almost as Creepy as that Weird post of the guys who dragg there Nut Sack & Boink Cl***ic cars... Just Weird !!!
My '36 Ford Roadster will be very nostalgic with a Duval windshield, www's, 59A, chopped folding top and skirts. I'm carrying the theme of the spears that are stock on the side hood panels to a set of spears on the skirts to give a deco look. So, have you figured out the roadster's name yet? "Britney", of course.
Long ago as a tribute to the owner that we would buy a car from we would give the car that name. My favorite car is Elmo. Can't show a pic because it's a 1966>>>>.
I don't have a name for mine but I've been pondering a few for the past few months.... I don't know what to say about the Weiner-mobile...lol
I agree that it can be creepy. I can't even relate to calling my car by a pronoun so proper names are out of the question. But yeah, those other guys... creepsville.
My Bug is Bonnie and my Dart is Clyde. Curiously, neither is named after the infamous Barrows...One is named after Bonnie Tyler and the other after Filo's harry orange buddy!
That's just wrong,,, I've indulged in paradise by the dashboard lights,,,but with women in cars!,,HRP
My OT truck from HS is named "The *****". Due to the inordinate amount of money I have dropped into my 50 Plymouth already, I have decided to name her "Penny". John
the T I had was called Old no 7...does that count the A I have is either called "fantastic" or "Sum*****"......it depends on how it's running!!
Most of the time mine have some sort of a name, but that's not what they get called. Name calling is usually a spur of the moment thing mad and when its over its back to driveing and grinning.
When we first brought it home, my wife called the 53 Plymouth "The Tank"; lately, I've been calling it a variety of unpublishable names. No, the door STILL isn't open, mostly because I've been trying non-destructive methods. I think it's time to go Medieval on it! "Break out the 'Implements of Destruction'!" But, yeah. "Tank" seems to be a fitting name. Deano
