I love custom from The United States of America, In France it's prohibited, we can to custom but ha ha ha not to drive with the custom... So we collecte old cars that's all. Unhappy for me ;-( I am on this web site for love of hot rod I considere it's art..... I love to read and see your hot rod . There are so beautiful. Pretty cool ;-))))) I love US because it's fun Kisses from France near Paris Francine
My friend, Francine, Glad to see you joined but PLEASE BEHAVE yourself! Watch and LEARN! This board is for TRADITIONAL HOT RODS and CUSTOMS and as such, people get a little upset when others post off-topic stuff. Someone had a few pics of a later Citroen that was modified into something along the lines of a fenderless racecar, anyone have pics?
Here is a pic of the Thunder Frog, that raced at Bonneville. But thats probably not the pic you are after. I have some more pics of Citroen Racers, but those are Road Track & Rally Cars...
interesting !! this is funny !! It's interesting to see from France what american people do with our cars...we love to see It's pretty nice I wait the others pics thanks a lot for your pics ;-))) Kisses Francine
If people are interested I have a technical documentation about the citroen 11 ;-) But say me kisses from France Francine
Funny this thread came up! At this weekend it was spring cruising in my hometown. So i took this picture, of what has been a abandoned wreck. Now sitting on a homebuilt frame, with a smallblock chevy under the hood.

I remember one in Hollywood area in about 1967 or so that was shortend to a two door. That loked good, the four door does not look right to me.

I don't care for citroens at all but this one was at sema and kinda cool http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/113_0703_1966_citroen_id_19/index.html
It's a DS Citroen. The car of the presidence (Charles de Gaulle). http://www.psa-peugeot-citroen.com/en/magazine/magazine_doss_c3.php?id=293 The DS saves the presidents life! It was well. But for fun....and style I prefer the traction avant ha ha ha !!
I think this would look cool in black dropped over a set of red wheels in a trad style: Not sure the face is much to look at, but its different!
That red one is a cute little thing. It seems there are all kinds of possibilities there. I was gonna jam a .060 over 383 Mercury in a '38 Opel one time. Got out of the service and never got around to it. The Opel sort of looked like that red one ... Looks like "Dirty Dozen" cars ..
This red one is one of my best friends. Now he is building a Riley and its "KILLER" It's not traditional but if you would like to see some pics send me an email. bscustomfab@paducah.com
The bad guys drove a Traction Avant in the chase sceen in "To Catch A Theif." Grace Kelly looked so good in that entire movie.
oh thanks a lot Truss ! I have this movie in my collection. I am going to see again ;-) euh please my friend what mean a "Grenade inspector" ??? Francine PS : I love the H A M B
Funny to see this look of the " deudeuche" the "2 CV" the "deux chevaux" very popular in France strong car......I like.
Yeah, Francine, the 11CV rules. Got one of my own. Nicest car I have. Andre Citroen visited Henry Ford in 1912. They became good friends, thats why the 11CV and the 1934 Ford look very similar. Heres a pic of mine: Was the first car with hydraulic brakes in 1934.And the first car, that everyone could buy, that would go 100km/h. When other guys step on the brakes in a curve, You in Your Citroen step on the gas, because it is glued to the road. Indiana Jones and his dad crash a convertible in one of the Jones-movies. Oh, sorry, I am O/T, its not a traditional hotrod. By the way, I use a lot of Citroen 11CV parts for my rod. F.e. the rims and the headlights. Here s a pic from a modified Citroen rod, built by a guy from Belgium (I think):
