Lee Morgan's "The Sidewinder" is a great road tune and might be my favorite, but I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Hank Mobley's "A Caddy for Daddy" because I drove non-stop round-trip from Berkeley CA to Santa Fe NM in the winter of 1977 to go to a freaking PARTY and the ONLY tape I had in the car was this cl***ic 60's Blue Note date. So whenever I'm on a long road trip I think of that album . . .

 

Oh yeah, anything from Neil Sedaka. Also, Wild Fire, Seasons in the Sun, Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep and the best....The ***** is Back.

I've got lotsa favs, but the tune that always pops into my head when this question is asked is "Easy Rider" by Iron ****erfly. That song always makes my throttle foot heavy.
