April 69 Car Craft pg 68 states "Grumpy fouled in the first round of Eliminator after winning SS/D handily". On the same page, it also states " Bill Jenkins' aluminum-head 396 SS/D '68 Camaro".

The 1969 Winternationals Official Program lists entry 779 Bill Jenkins Grumpys Toy '68 Camaro. This concurs with the CC article. However, on the next page of the Program Guide there is a photo "No.779 Bill Jenkins" of a SS/D Nova, Grumpy's Toy V. I realize this may be a file photo, but what car did he run in class, the Nova or the Camaro, and more specifically what cars did he run against in SS/D class.

I am aware that Ford flooded the class with 427 Fairlanes to take Jenkins out, but did not succeed.

Would anyone have a National Dragster that would have the SS/D class race details from the 69 Winternats? I am looking for any details on SS/D class eliminations.

Dennis, I looked through my SS&DI issue as well and it does not add anything new, unfortunately. I used up my old National Dragsters as work bench paper long ago. (if only I'd known)

That April CC issue you mentioned does speak about the T-Bolt you're interested in, but not with any race coverage info.

In the background of the first Dick Harrell photo, I see the "Texas Thunderbolt" parked with the hood open.

How is the resolution on the original photo? Can you read anything on the T-Bolt?
