  3. I say West Coast wins.
If it was West coast vs. Texas, "we" might have a problem

and yeah- we have so much rust we have to contend with. I personally think we have better fabricaters our East BUT the West Coast guys get the clientele that will pay $$$ for their work so they can experiment more

That is for damn sure. A lot of the cars I see on ebay and craigslist (Mercs) are real real cherry out there. The one I am doing was such a God awful pile when I started, and I have another one that is in about the same shape for the future. I dont even wanna think about starting that project!

This is pointless. Some guys on the west are building east coast style and some guys in the east are building west coast style. It's all about what you like anymore. Me, I prefer both.

Why man? There have been treads like this in the past and they end up in a huge ******* match! Can't all of the hot rodders and customizers enjoy thoughts and ideas collectively? Is there really this huge need to split the left and right coast up? If you want to see the difference in style, look at the show threads and compare west and east coast that way. In all reality we are all after one thing, to put as many trouble free miles on our cars as possible....right?

You East Coast guys need to remember where all this "Hot Rod" stuff started to begin with! Besides I saw a Flamed East Coast Merc back there we would't drive anyways.

Whats the point of this thread other than to start a couple fights haha. A freakin hot rod is a hot rod no matter what ya do to it, or the style of it, or where it came from, or who built it. Its all in the eyes of the beholder. When I do my builds I dont look at other pictures to get ideas of how I want to build mine I just draw the damn thing out of my head and build it. Prolly why mine always take so long to build hahaha -Jon

I went to the L.A. RODSTAR SHOW a while ago, if you took away the plastic 32's with sbc. you had about 30 cars to look at.
