Probably doesn't look too bad if you can live with it (and you're really poor but gotta have WWW tyres).
But this isn't for me, I think it's shabby and pretentious, not to mention dangerous.

That second sentence doesn't even make sense, and is a pretentious attempt to impress us with your vocabulary.

So...when that tires blows out on the road and wrecks your car and hurts someone are you going to get a lawyer and sue the tire company?

or tire blows out and you wreck the car killing some kid on a sidewalk and you get sued into the ground until your 90 years old.

I can't believe people do this stuff today. I thought these shanangans ended in the 50's when people made rail dragsters out of exhaust tubing.

Even if he is running down the road and the tire blows out due to an unrelated problem and not the grinding, and kills a kid the lawyers will have a field day with him.

I can't believe people are still doing this in 2008.

I cant believe people are bitching about this in 2008.

If one ain't enough, I suppose i'll have 2 blowouts going down the road. I'll try to steer this back to topic if thats possible, anyone know if anything else has 2" whitewalls, cause I really want to have 4 blowouts simutaneously .

BTW the 120 grit flapdisc worked much better .

  18. Thanks for the tip about the flapdiscs. Those look good.

I'm not here to impress you or anyone else, it's just an opinion.
To help with your comprehension, by "this" I mean this technique and "pretentious" is the word that says exactly what I mean.

Shabby and pretentious refers to my oppinion about the look and finish of this style of WWW tyre. Not to my oppinion of the guys that use it, so sorry no "compliment" intended.

Has anyone on here had any luck with porta walls? I installed a set on a friends '57 Olds and two of em flew off in the first mile! What a pain in the ass they were.

I have noticed that the outer lip of the WW curles on some cars I've seen with these fitted.

  23. I hate it when some liberal comes in and tries to save me from myself.
Maybe you should get yourself a helmet and a five point harness for your off topic mustang and detune it a little since it's a "streetfreak"
That way you will be travelling a lot safer and it would be safer for all those around you.
Wouldn't want all of that power to overwhelm you and you end up "killing some kid on a sidewalk and you get sued into the ground until your 90 years old".
If you wreck your car are you going to sue Ford?

  24. Has anyone ever heard of one of these tires blowing out, due to being shaved, in the 50+ years they've been doing it?
Don't include any cases of overloaded tires, such as lowriders running shaved 520-13s on 4000+ lb cars.

  25. I don't know of anyone that's had long term luck with those.
The longest I've heard of them lasting was about 1000 miles.
Similar to yours, but they came apart in chunks.
