Do we have a picture of this car for those of us that don't know what it looks like?

Will watch for it around here, if it got loaded in trailer it could be anywhere in U.S. in 2 days. Lots of luck Dave.

I trust Dave will not mind the Hot Irons lending a hand to aid in the search for his roadster by way of an added page that can be viewed right from the start page of our website?

I anyone speaks to Dave, let him know its up, and if he would like to add or detract from it, please send us an email (emails can be sent via the website)

I believe I speak for the rest of our guys in wishing him well, as everyone wants to see this taken care of and returned within the rightful owner's hands as soon as can be attained!

    Here is the link to the page on our website;

I'm in Johnstown PA, will keep a sharp eye and ear out around here, and make any of my hotrod buddies within the state aware, and get as many eyes and ears out as possible... I'm hoping SOMEONE out there saw or heard something, and that lose lips will indeed sink ships. This sucks... and to think I leave the keys hanging in mine wherever I go.. I guess that should change.

on another stolen car thread i posted the possiblity of Lobbying to cange the shipping rules for classic or collector cars out of this country ..this to curtail this possiblity of these types of cars being stolen and shipped over seas, any one out there with contacts as to how to go about this?..or is it a waste of time?..no one will worry about it until it happens to them kinda thing?..just wondering.

I can't beleive that is all that was said in the paper. If it would have been some yuppies porsche there would have been more on it. This sucks more and more hot rods are being stolen. :( They need to catch these guys and castrate em.

    Back up for Dave..
There's either been a new growth in thieves or we are just hearing about it more now for some reason..
This shit's getting way the fuck out of hand!
An example need's to be made when asshole's like this are caught so the next one in line think's twice before making the same move.

That's about all you get for news unless there is an old car nut on the staff of the paper. A photo in the paper with a story might jog some minds to remember seeing it being towed down the road.

My heart goes out to Yankee Dave. I live about 5 miles away and know the area well. This car is fairly well known and will be hard to hide. My gut feeling is one of the local bozos grabbed it with no idea of its personal value, it was just a cool old car. I may be totally wrong and we all need to keep our eyes and ears open but if this is the case, sooner or later one of the locals will brag about this cool piece they snatched and in two days it's whereabouts will be all over town. Not much stays a secret around here. Just my two cents.

  21. Way to many Hot Rods and nice cars disappearing lately sounds like a planned organization in work since they are never found. We need some kind of legislation with laws to govern the resale or shipment of these cars. In the interim I will keep an eye out in my area and pass this on to my club members. If we catch them they are dead, that's the way around here. Good luck recovering those rides, Rags

Two words,...and yes, they DO work if you have good people living around you that aren't lazy!...

    Neighborhood Watch!

You just need vigilant people around you that will actually DO something if they see something out of place! The fact is this could have happened to ANY of us, and I'd like to think that ANY of us would help the other out.

Looks like this was mentioned yesterday on a radio station (or maybe just on their website).

    http://www.wgrc.com/wgrc-news-archive.htm

    News for Monday, June 16th

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - A two thousand dollar reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and discovery of a stolen antique car in Schuylkill County. The car was taken sometime between six p.m. June eighth and one-thirty June 15th from 39-year-old David Walter of Schuylkill Haven. The 1932 Ford Convertible roadster was towed from the rear of Walter's property out onto Route 443. The Roadster is painted black with red trim and red wheels with white wall tires and a red grill insert, with a New York registration plate. The vehicle is valued at $25-thousand dollars. Anyone with information on the theft of the vehicle is asked to call state police.
