I typed in "1957 Cadillac" on Google to checkout some pictures and Holy Shit there it was, the first picture. I think I can die now.

You can thank Al Gore for that.

  4. Internet Search Engines ... quite a remarkable invention!

I'd bet that if you Google just about any HAMBers member name it would come back with at least one hit ... but I agree that it's totally cool that the keywords "1957 Cadillac" are associated with an image of Brian's car ... but I'm not surprised ... his is one of the finest examples of a Custom '57 Caddy.

I had a somewhat similar experience ... Googled the words "1957 Chrysler Hemi" (or a variation thereof) ... and it returned a link to a Wikipedia page with a photo of my father's old '57 Chrysler 300C Coupe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_300_letter_series) and its engine compartment (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Hemi_in_300C.jpg) ...

Thanks. Just shocking for me I guess.
OMG! your fathers old Chrysler is very cool. All of my daily drivers have been black so I love the black Chrysler. I have seen a few red ones but "black is beautiful".

Hey Scott. I have tried to burn any evidence of those wheels and those confused times in my life. I have been through interventions and rehab. I am a success story and now live in the more traditional times.

saw your car in Pinole on Sunday did you win best paint or custom

  11. Yep ... "black is beautiful" ... but it's sure a bitch to keep clean! :D ... maybe that's what Gino Vannelli meant with his 80's pop song "Black Cars {... look better in the shade}" ??? ... I'm wisely down to just one black car now (my daily driver pickup).

Thanks for the kind words about pop's '57 Chrysler 300C ... I hated to sell it ... but it's in really goods hands now ... I've posted a few pics of it here on the HAMB:
... as well as pics of a black custom my father briefly owned ... the Clif Inman (Joe Wilhelm built) chopped '57 Chrysler:
Whoops ... didn't mean to hi-jack your thread ... sorry about that ... I tend to ramble :)

I love your Caddy (saw it in person for the first time at the March GG show in P-town) ... and enjoyed viewing all the progress pics on the Rik Hoving website ... your original ("bling-bling") wheel choice wasn't "that bad" ... but the current tire/wheel (hubcap/WWW) combination definitely "completes the look" of your car!

Also look forward to following the progress of your '40 LaSalle here on the HAMB ... any new pics?
