Love the 60's and 70's T styling, My dad told me stories of the 70's and the crap they did. I remember when dad built the black T and the blue T at the top of this page, while he was building them the stories kept rolling out............

I'm really digging this car! good wheels, good colors, good headers, and it's got that elusive "Looks like an old model kit" look! Who built it?

Heres mine the way it looks today. I had to make a few changes after the first trip to the Day of The Drags!

Ah yes. Traction had to be in short supply with those small tires you used to have on there!

That's Jim Unruh's car. Lives in McHenry, IL. I think that's the right city. I've talked with him a whole lot about the old T's but never about his. Go figure!

The car wasn't built in Michigan, it's a California-built car...Jon DeJeer originally built it, and I think it went to someone else before Dan got it...my buddy Rob bought it from Dan.

Rob and I are no longer in the Draggins, (actually, there is no more Draggins), we have a new club called the Eliminators for '60's, drag-style cars...

...over last winter, Rob put together a KILLER '63 327, rebuilt the trans with a shift kit & converter, and a new center section w/Traction Lock in the Ford rear...it's SCARY FAST now!

Dan has chimed in a couple times when the car was mentioned on the board here before, maybe he'll see this and fix the story...

We did pull the body off when we did the motor & trans because Rob also redid the floor of the body and replaced the wiring harness...I don't know if he took pics or not, I'll try and find out...

I really dig this T and pardon my ignorance but I have to ask...what is that thing in the background that looks like a screaming mummy head T?! I would LOVE to see a close shot of that!

Photoman...here's a request I'm sure you can fill. The T bucket, I think from late 70's, flathead powered, with the transmission, the torque tube and the pedal assembly exposed inside the car. It had fat Indy tires front and back and it had a straight tube chrome front axle and looked like a road racer and was very low. I think it had disc brakes all around. ? Cotton Werksman ? It looked really different because most of the T buckets sat up high at the time.

blackout, I think that's the car I asked about a couple days ago in another thread that I believe was called the flexi-flyer. Runs in my mind now after thinking about it a day or two that the guys name was maybe Wilson Farrell?

Here's mine. Built in the late 60's. Drove to Street Rod Nationals in 71, 73, and 76. Put 30K plus miles on it. Sold it in late '76 and never saw it again.

xlr8, here is the car I was asking about. Cotton Werksman. He was a big force in NSRA in the early years, and he built more outstanding cars after this. I hope he does'nt object to me mentioning him.
