29eh: I have not heard anyone mention San Cobble in 35 years!! Are you talking about the "new" San Cobble or the "old one" on the Bamberton? I visited both as often as possible and later helped prepare a couble of cars for the drags at the new San Cobble. A couple of times I even towed some back with Jim's BA wrecker. Wayne.

Studebaker lark. I think there is a new version of the Chevy Tahoe, Envoy or some other SUV that copied this slide in roof almost exactly.

Here's a nice Pontiac I saw at a show in Redondo Beach. Guy said he used Studebaker bits for the conversion, and his wife actually uses it to carry her surfboards:

Sounded like a retard in above post as I thought I was posting pictures of both of my daughters wagons but apparently have not figured how to post more than one picture at a time!? Above is her 1964 chevy 2 nova surf wagon and her new project is a 1965 superior coach works pontiac bonneville funeral coach. [IMG]

This one is on Ebay right now. Wish it was closer. I totally love the look of this thing even though it needs a lot of work
