Here is a 62 Tbird that we are finishing up. Hoping to bring it to the asphalt Invitational. I've got lots of pic and little time to post, but here are a few. I will try and update as we go along. It's gonna be down to the wire.....

Killer work there Walrus. Can't wait to see her all done. You should be commended on not over chopping that thing. It's a piece of art.

  7. Very cool,

The only problem is, now I have to cut my Tbird.

Details on the chop would be great. It looks like you layed the back window forward, pretty much the same idea we came up with here but what did you do for the front glass, wind wind and windshield?

Great job, I know how tough it is to chop one of them, my boss and I did one back in the 80's.
Very nice engine, and differetn choice of color...I like it!

Since you've done a '63 and now there's a '62 being done, My '61 is available for customizing!
Of course the shop that does the work will get full credit for the build ;-)

  21. That looks awesome! Lots of great thinking on that one. I'm especially loving the grille, exhaust through the bumper and the interior.

Once again, the bird isn't going to make it to the show. zippin in a new roof tomorrow, and the chrome is a no show. The 51 victoria will be there, but you'll have to wait for the bird. so sad.........

  23. Would still like some details on the chop like how much did you remove and how are you handling the side glass.

    Hey,

    Kool Bird chop project!

Jus' curious as to why you chose to quarter cut the center panel of the
roof vs. side cuts along the Cant rails. If cut along the sides, the center
of the roof remains intact, and all filler pieces and the majority of the
welding is outboard of the center of the roof. It's much easier to shape
and weld this way. PLEASE don't take this as me 'fecal flinging' your
project, it looks great, and worked out for you, jus'curious.
