*Barn Find 34 3/W Body !* (pole barn that is)

I always hesitate before I make a post like this, As I don't want it to come off as being a bragger,.... but I like to share this stuff with my HAMBer pals.

A week ago we were rearranging the furniture in our bedroom,... when I went to move my dresser I noticed a business card kind of stuck between the joints that make up the back of the dresser,.... It was one of my old cards, but on the back it said, "34 3/W body rough" and then a phone #,..... this card was at least 3 years old, but I thought I would call anyway.

Sure enough he still had it,..... wanted to get rid of it soon,.. I got there today and took a look,... yep it is rough, (for 3 to 5 years ago), but I liked it just fine ! And I just happen to have a 34 Ford Ch***is I built up with nothing on it,..... Today I was the windshield !

Nice find, looks very save-able. I would have probably looked at the card, laughed about the time gone by, and thrown it away without calling.

 

You must be living right! I wouldn't change the look of that coupe for a long while.

Come on up any time, This 3/W ain't going anywhere until I ***ume room temperature,...... You might have seen this body years ago, It was within 30 or 40 miles of you (OK that was a little rub, but it was done in friendship..... )

 

uhhh yea... nothing on that body looks "rough".... you must be used to the fibergl*** bodies!

 

Wish I could just find stuff like that here in the Northeast. Its all hidden somewhere.

 

i really dont care much for it, but if you would like to donate it to my umm charity, yeah, thats it, charity, i could maybe raise a few bucks with it! you know, for the charity!

 

damn it bro, she's not that rough. At least you got your hands on it to bring it back to life. Great score, I guess I better start looking behind stuff and maybe I can get lucky

I don't count it as bragging UNLESS that is too rough for you.
Around these parts if you can tell what once was.. you have a perfect find.

That's how it was described to me years ago when I got the phone # in the first place,..... today was the first time I ever seen it,... in fact the pictures were taken about 10 minutes after I got there,.... and about 9 minutes after I bought the body .

(Trust me,. I am very pleased with this body, the garnish moldings and dash are in great shape, almost all the wood is solid, he had a extra floor and firewall that came with it,.... )

 

Your right.....that body is to rough for you to even fool with.... pm me & I'll set up a day to come by with my truck & trl. to haul it off.

I threw out maybe 50 little notes- cards- lists ... names and phone numbers today while cleaning the dresser top ... spose I'll hafta give it all a second look some of it being saved from yearly previous purges ...2000 -2007
