For the record, mario Kaplan and his son are M.D.s not vets. I have purchased one 32 roadster from them and it was exactly as advertised. I have also had him to my business here in the states and had lunch with him and his wife. Good people. Sounds like a lot of hearsay going on from people who have not dealt with or met the man. In argentina are few old cars, the problem is that people who have a old car think they have gold and asked a lot of money for them, to find something in good condition and good price you have to look a lot and generally this cars not found on the Internet.

Note: Until Peron (1945) I would say that more than 90% of the cars here were American imported, all brands and models. That was a wealthy time for the country and all of the good stuff was brought. Those are long gone..., mostly in the 80s all were exported for few $$. DAMN DAMN DAMN

we need more argentinian people in here, by my brothers house in palermo hollywood there is a shop that buils turismo carretera cars, and the owner had like 5 or 6 32 fords running, he told me he would sell me one for u$2500 and me like a dumb ass didnt look into the shipping

Big country, lots of barns and sheds, plenty of farmland where things can sit for decades, right? Surely the exporters have made only the easy finds. I remember reading about a Gaucho somewhere years ago; he and his friend had Model T's. His friend rolled his car, and ruined the body...bad news since he had a wife and kids to transport. The single gaucho gave his pal the body from his own Model T, and then strapped his horse saddle to the gastank of his chassis, a nice traditional touch.

Man, I would love to get my ass down to Argentina. I dated a couple of nice Argentinean gals. Beautiful women there, and cool as shit to boot! Hahah. As for cars, I wouldn't know, but I'm sure down in Central and South America there are plenty sitting and waiting. I have family in Honduras (although I'm cuban). Maybe I'll go take a look.

This picture was on anouther site and taken in Argentina. Did the cars down there come factory with a filled roof? If they didn't this was an early modification and had some nice work done to it.

I wouldn't want anything by that jackass Che. He died exactly as he deserved, he was no "hero' as the T-shirted kiddies would have people believe! Hopefully, his motorcycle got crushed, wrecked, and completely destroyed years ago. Changing gears, Cuba would be a great place to acquire US-built cars - IF you could even arrange for export! And, I would not restore it - I would keep it as-is, that is the best testament to the owner(s) that have had to put up with Castro's crap the last 50 years!
I know a person that has cared an old Ford in Italy from Argentina and it has other upcoming shipping... he has given me some good suggestion... the costs are expensive and many problems with the customs...
