Well let's get one started. I'll do the first "Barn Find" picture, well it wasn't in the barn but out behind another building..... a 26 T coupe and a 23ish touring car. Found them this past weekend in South Dakota while I was Pheasant Hunting (last year I brought back two coupes). The guy doesn't want to sell them but I did get the rear fenders that came on the coupe. The rear sheetmetal was missing, it must have been turned into a pickup. First picture is of this years find, Second is from last year.
Well, actually there is a Model T club. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=146016&highlight=sam+f+model+oldest
Here's mine- T coupe with a model A cowl, frame and grill shell. 53 chrysler 331. I like to call it a 1927 1/2 model T or just T 'n A. The picture kinda looks like it's parked on the highway but we're goin about 70 on the way back from hunnert.
Guys, I know it is a little late, but I want to be part of this also. I dont have a goer yet but here is what I have Coupe wise and what I want it to look like. The other was a T coupe until I made it into a 5 Window Pickup cab. I plan do a thread on that build soon.
I picked up this 24 since I finished my 40 Ford and needed another project. This is in exceptional shape with only one rust out about 3/4" x 2" near the cowl vent. Complete with all fenders, running boards and full working doors. I'm stoked and having a great time. It will have a 276 flatty with a 200-4R o/d. More to come - - - Fourdy
Where's Dan Stoner's built by Conder, is it done yet? That ride is going to be awesome Very cool Model T rides everyone, thanks for Posting 'em!
You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't flick your friends out the window.
I saw this T In Bowling Green 05 I think. Don't know the owner but I spoke with him briefly. I think he told me he built oval track chassis / cars for a living. It looked cool and I'm it would kick your butt if you blinked at the tree. I like the sprint style pipes. Gary
Can someone out there in hamb land please help me find some 26-27 coupe doors. I know there like finding gold, but im about to pull my hair out, looking for these things. Ill even take fiberglass ones if some one makes them. Does anyone make these doors? If not, then maybe I should. I cant count how many guys have told me they pass up these bodies because they are missing doors! All I want to do is finish the damn thing!!!!
There are usually ones to be had on ebay from time to time. I recall seeing a pair just a few days ago. They were listed individually, seems they sell for around $250 to $500 each depending on condition. Some Guy in MO called Battlefield Antiques or similar name had probably the best pair I've ever seen and they did not sell, If you could find him he may still have them. Other option is to put a wanted advert here on the HAMB or on the Fordbarn. Patch panels for the bottoms both inside and out are available from Howell's in TX, not expensive either. Only problem with those patch panels is the swaged lip around the edge of the door does not always match real well with the patch panel lip, you kinder got to blend it in with a little bondo or rework the lip. If you got the time some swapmeets have some but they are few and far between these days sa you have already experienced. The best doors come from those low rust States. Good luck...
