Looks like it's gonna be a bitchin' coupe Chris.... I guess this is the reason why you are planning to drive to the Lonestar show next year :)

    Some update pictures.
Since I'm going to run Cowl steering, because of clearance issues with the engine, I made a "hoop" that will be bolted to the frame and will hold the steering box (still undecided on the box). I't's made from heavy wall 2" tubing.

My friend Rudi, was kind enough, to machine the Buick drums and Ford hubs in his shop.

Got some bodywork done (my favorite:mad:), the doors, cowl/dash and decklid are ready for paint.
I used "some" body filler to make the pieces straight.

I bought a new 322 Nailhead that has been rebuilt, it was frankly cheaper to buy another engine, then having the other rebuilt.

Chris, your A is looking killer, but you may have to take our word for it if you don't make it a habit of wearing some eye protection as you ARE NOT doing in the first page post with the grinder going about a foot from your eyes. Wouldn't tell ya if I didn't love ya man.

  21. Chris,

The A is lookin awesome! Great work! What color are you painting the body?

Chris, Your Hot Rod is looking killer man, nice work!! Quick question, I noticed on your pushrods the adjusters are on the bottom? (lifter side) I have never seen them like that, all of the adjustable pushrods I have used and seen adjust at the rocker arm side. It caught my eye and I am really curious about it.

Jimmy, I wish I had an answer about the push rods being up side down, all I know is, the engine runs.
Them being upside down may have been done, because, once the valley pan is removed, it leaves alot of room to adjust them. Not sure though.

That makes sense, I was just tripping out because I have never seen them like that before. On my hemi they are a pain in the ass to adjust!!

    Chris, Nice work!!!

(I was curious as to why you left the entire fuel tank in place and drilled three big holes in the front of it....why not remove all of it except for the face for gauges... It would make access to the wiring and gauges easier.)

I was wondering when you (Dreadman/Chris) were going to post the newest fotos. Thanx for the Thanking on the Hub and Buick drum lathe job. It was a challenge! I could have got it alot smoother, but like you said: "No one is going to see it" I'm glad it worked out!! Let me know if you need any more machine work done?...

    Bis spater!

Special Thanx to Jimmy White/Hemi Coupe!! your thread on Flathead overheating was a great help on getting my Eddie Meyer 8ba running! Me and Nick O'teen Burped(Got the air bubbles out) the heads and upper hoses. Now my flathead runs at 170 to 180 degrees!! I'm stoked!!! Long Live the H.A.M.B.!!!!!

Thanx OrphanEddie!! see ya the Primer Nationals!!.....w/ chips
