I don't know anything about the Teleoptic light. I did some googling but didn't really learn anything other than the guy who made them. I beleive he stopped making them in 39 don't quote me on that. The picture of the light on is not mine, I found that pic on ebay. I haven't rewired mine yet.
On the teleoptic, try looking around on Google patents...the light itself probably gives enough info for an easy hunt, and if it gives the actual poatent number, you're done at once! This will give you dates, drawings, diagrams of innards, etc.
Unfortunately, we're all stupefied and drooling again after looking at JUST 1 SHELF... walking around your place MUST be like spending a week at Hershey!
I don't know if these are considered non-production... ...but they are stamped "Universal Nite-Owl", which make me think they are aftermarket. Anyone seen these before or know anything about them? I plan to use them on the RPU project. Neal
Not as rare as Bluto's but Rare non the less were a set of 1937 DeLage Taillights I sold to a fellow HAMB'r...! Sexiest taillights on the Planet... God I miss them...!
The HUPP lense is from a Hupmobile. Also, the late 30's Chryslers & Desotos had great looking lenses. Here's a '38 Chrysler is used on my '35 Hupmobile.
These are my Pathfinder accessory "Back up" lights. on my 33 Coupe. Fitted into a custom cast bezel...
Things just move too fast in the new board Here's one more for the weekend crowd........ guess which production car this came offa ?
Here's one I'm thinking of using as a tail light, since I don't have a fire truck! The motor spins these cams with wipers to turn the lights on/off, and it sounds cool too.
I did a blog post a couple years ago of my collection of turnsignals / taillights plus others that I've taken pictures of. check out the pictures here: http://bellytank.blogspot.com/2006/09/accessory-turn-signals-of-20s-and-30s.html .
Bobby, that skull tailight u have should be your favorite that thing is killer! Especially being u have the ad for it. You got waaaay tooo much cool stuff man. Congrats on living the dream
Here is what I am using (one of them) on the rear of the modified, still needs some clean up: And here are some photos of lights from eBay that I liked, just too costly:
Don't have a picture but have seen a pair of turn signals mounted on a mid-20s Packard under the visor. Vacuum-powered, when activated the carriage style lamp slides out from the visor on the side indicated, lights up and wags back and forth. When turned off, it retracts under the visor.
This is off a 1954 Dodge Mayfair trunk. The Mayfair model was a Canadian only top of the line model and came with a few extra pieces of chrome. Found the trim at a Swap, had it re-chromed, now several Dodge owners keep eyeing it as they don't have that on their Mayfairs.
Cool story I bought a nice pair of '40 Hudson lights from Bass here on the hamb a while back. I didn't end up using them. If you know anybody looking for a nice set , send them my way!
