Not that I get a vote but for now I'm going with the wagon or Don's Rebel Reaper. Problem is they are two very distinct type of photos.

We will have to see what catches C9's fancy. Here is a pic of mine that aint going to win but it's all I've got.

On the banks of the Ohio River the day I finally got plates on it.

  2. Wow, cool ... I didn't know Shirley was a HAMBer ... what's her H.A.M.B name?

Yeah ... I'm being an ass ... just don't understand what's so hard about following the "rules" of C9's Photography contest .... as he stated in his very first sentence ... "a small photography contest featuring HAMBr owned cars".

C9 goes on to say ... "clarity, composition and focus are paramount. As well as sticking to the theme. Said theme being, hot rods in interesting places" ... IMHO, a pic of a car with a tree or a telephone pole "growing" out of the roof or hood is not a well composed photograph.

Enough of my rant ... let's see some more (well composed) photographs / images of HAMBers cars!<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

It's not really, but I like to tell people this is the before of my '53 wagon. I took this in extreme northern Washington at the end of my Aunt's driveway:

Per your request, here are some day pics.. I think Dad posted one of the car several pages back, but not certain. It looks a bit better at night...;) But this is the way we found it. It was originally green, painted '53 Chevy white in the late 50s, when all the customization was done.

Not that I expect it to win the contest with the stiff competition, but here is my car cruising Congress in Austin during the Roundup.

Thought it portrayed the atmosphere very well. Friends, cruising, hot rods, cops, even got the unwashed masses in there. That it's blurry and poorly lit conveys the sense that you've had a couple of beers. :D

    High class vs no class.
Took this picture to prove to my friends that I made it to Nats last year.
They said I was crazy to drive the hotrod that far. They are right I am crazy and I had a ball going to the Nats. Not an artsy picture but I like the high class vs no class theme.
