i can feel it comming.bring it on!

here are some pictures of our latest project.in case you are wondering we ARE tearing it apart not just finishing it.

for those who care,we are doing a slight redo.our plan is to build a new chassis, remove some girly items(spare tire, wind wings, cowl lights, and horns),and repaint.the chassis will be one of our very own.we will be using a smelding 427 cid small block ford motor, with two fours.behind that will be a tremec tko 600 5-speed.followed by a polished quick change.to expell those burnt gasses,we will fab up one of our all stainless 3" exhaust systems.once done the car will ride on 37 ford style wheels and hubcaps.the wheels will hide the drilled and vented wilwood disc brakes.

    stay tuned.

    -danny

  5. That's a pretty damn sweet car. Why do you want to use such an enormous exhaust tube size?

I would have been as happy as a pig in shit to have that just the way it was..
Not to say I dont like the "plan"
but somethings should just be left alone. or maybe slightly modified.
oh well Maybe im just jelous that i dont have that kind of coin to go doing something like that with something so nice.
    Rock on and report back

I have to admire a person who not only has the skills, but also the balls to try and turn gold into platinum. I have a good feeling about where you say you're going with this and look forward to the updates.

Didn't mean that as a cutdown. People get rude if a car is not built to their liking. Great car to start with. Try to talk him into keeping the wires, the best looking wheel ever. Imo

  12. That's the best way to build a Hot Rod, buy a resto and do a chassis swap. Cool!

  13. That is a shame, but its his car, so I guess he can do what he wants with it.

It will still be cool after you guys are done, but it won't be "living history" anymore..

  14. I'm not gonna be the guy who tells you you're fucking up a nice car. I think if that's what the customer wants, then whatever! I wouldn't do it if it were MY car,but a customers car is a different thing. Sure is one of the nicest "starter" cars i've seen...

I love the shop with the old dealership signs! If I were you, I would keep the old chassis and running gear. I hear this stuff is getting hard to find! Good luck.

Your going to fit a 427 in there? Holy shitballs! Keeping the flatty sure would look nice. BUT, it's your car man...

I am with most of you guys, I don't mind cutting up a car that is in bad shape, but damn, that car is nicer than anything most people will ever own.

If your into stock antiques, maybe, but this is a hot rod and custom board. Starting with a pristine car means less restoration work before the rod/custom work can begin.

I've built 5 cars, all of them started with a discarded body and frame. I have thought many times what it would be like to start with something nice. That car is so nice, it seems almost wrong to cut it up. It would probably be a better finished product, since it is so nice to start with, but that's a pretty nice car already. Can't find another donor body somewhere?
