  1. CARtoons magazine

CARtoons magazine was an American publication that focused on automotive humor and hot rod artwork. Originated by Carl Kohler and Artist/Drag Racer Pete Millar was published by Petersen Publication Company as a quarterly. It featured articles, step-by-step how to drawing pages, comic strips and more. Some of the featured artists were Tom Medley, George Trosley (Krass & Bernie), John Kovalic, and Shawn Kerri. It was published from 1959 to 1991. -wikipedia

Art challenge 10 this... take a car from the hamb and give it the CARtoon treatment. It can be your car or a car you admire, but it has to have appeared on the hamb at some point.

I love the cartoon style and I know htere are some great artist on the hamb that are very good at this style.. like Dutch Courage, delswanson, and the unmistakable Lance Sorchik .

I'm going to have fun with this one, I hope you guys do too!

We will go from today, the 15th of July, to the 15th of August. If you'd like to offer a prize, let me know.

Thanks for the compliment, on my birfday no less! I'll see what I can whip up, but it may only be a sketch. Ditto on Sorchik and Froggett!

Well, you can't dictate that...some guys don't have the know-how or skills. I think as long as it's an original toon (hopefully hand drawn before it's scanned and colorized but it doesn't matter to me) then it's acceptable. Look at Gary C's latest toon-type coupe in Fridays artshow. Not hand drawn but definitely cool nonetheless.
