for the past 8 months or so ive been stuck driving my sisters old 2001 hundai that she gave to my parents when my sis got another new car. so i usually fill it up with 20 bucks a week, but latley with 4.45 gas i fill her up about every 5 days! thats about 120 a month alone :-/

and im afraid to even think what it'll be like in my 1958 ford once we get it back on the road in about 2 weeks. its now a 2 barrel v8 which is a major gas hog, and with two jobs and college thats 12 miles away and 12 miles home.... this is just gonna kill me!!!

so im just courious what some of you guys spend in a month on gas? i think it'll be worth it though driving that 58 again. but i give it about a month and i'll be mad haha :p

  2. I am real fortunate I live only a mile from my job. I ride my mountain bike to work about 3 or 4 days a week. I can use my gas budget for cruisin' and parts and girl chasein'. {just kidding honey!} But it's still about $60 a month. My personal opinion? Motorcycles are going to get real popular by next summer. Start shareing the road now,As most of us here already do.{I hope!}

I Spend about $150 a week commuting to work and another $50-70 every weekend for the boat. No wonder I don't have any money for my project.

200.00 plus I guess. But with a tunnelram sbc and a v-8 dodge truck as a daily It's probably not as bad as some guys are spending

Not a lot, as I'm retired and the HHR gets fair mileage - only two tanks a month. What is REALLY pissing me off is the cost to fill up the gas can for the lawn mower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it only holds two gallons. Gary

man im considering riding a bike to work, but riding to kmart in a button up white dress shirt and black slacks isnt the best thing to bike in if i wanna sell appliances haha

and im sure wearing my circuit city bright red uniform with tan pants is another thing people would get a kick out of. to bad both of my jobs are bout 2 -3 miles away though :-/

i would hate to have to take a public bus to school every morning... but shoot idk what im gonna do, i only make so much in a month.

and holy cow 550 A MONTH??? i barley make that in a month i think

Its 700-800 a month when I'm working and driving back and forth to work. Luckily, I'm off for 2-3 months during the summer.

Probably around $500. Going to cost me $200 to fill up the Suburban to go on vacation.

I'm a floor covering contractor and the way the economy is at the moment it isn't unusual that I will travel up to 200 miles daily to the distributer, job and evening appointments. $30 to $60 a day is the usual for my 2000 1 ton extended van. Its pretty bad when my 2000 diesel Superduty 1 ton gets better mileage than my work van.

Right now its around 400 to 500 a month..that is not including my funning around in my 53 Chevy.

My Chevy Pick up 4X4..gets around 14 to 15 miles per gallon, un- loaded. and i drive about 45 miles one way to work, so i might be off a little in m guestimation..its probably more like 6 to 700 bucks per month..staggering isnt it?

somebodys getting rich..thats for sure..and it aint me:mad:
too bad i cant haul the stuff i need around on my harley:(

I put about $350 a month in my F150, about $200 in the wifes Volvo, and about $75 in the 51 Chevy. The funny thing is that the 51 gets the best milage of any of our cars.

To much, it is a bunch of crap paying that much for gas. But what can you do most off use are either to old or out of shape to ride a bike 20 miles to and from work so you pay the ridicules Price for gas!

  20. I'm like everybody else ,,paying through the nose but happy to have gas,,,our business depends on being able to drive both delivery vans,,,plus driving our personal f-150.

We drive a lot,,,last months bill was just shy of 1,600.00 bucks,,,and that doesn't count the 3 32's and the falcon,,,,,,HRP

Haven't done an official total, but pretty close to $1000 / month. My wife and I are both driving 90-100 miles each day roundtrip to work. As of last month, we have both started driving in the same direction, so I think a move a little closer to our workplace will be happening in the next 6-12 months. Up until she got this job close to where I work, she had a company car w/ company paid gas, so our fuel bill has recently doubled, ON TOP of the huge price increases. :(

The wife pays the gas bill each month, so I dont know or care . But it cost almost $10 to fill up my bike and it still had a half of tank of gas. Gasserman

  24. Well, I'm 53 and have driven old cars all my life. Until 7 weeks ago. My daily was a 67 Grand Prix. It only ran on Premium, and cost about $120 to fill. This would only last me 6 days tops. Well, in another thread, I mentioned leasing a Toyota Matrix. It costs about $50 to fill and lasts almost 2 weeks. I'm not happy entirely with this. But, hey, the oil companys BEAT ME! It's kind of a shame they have to "hump" the very country that made them strong. I can only hope the greedy bastards die an untimely and painful death for their GREED. Exxon's making BILLIONS, and still have not paid their debt to Alaska for the bullshit from almost TWENTY YEARS AGO. FUCK YOU. I hope this answers your question:)

It was roughly 480 a month for just me driving my 02 GMC 2500HD 4x4..that had nothing to do with my old stuff. Add about another 100 or so to it with them.
Just bought an 02 Jeep Wrangler 3 week's ago as a 'new' year round vehicle..
Twice the mileage of my HD plus a 4x4.. I now spend between 55-60 a week in that instead of 120 and get to save my HD from wear and tear too...(bought it new and need it to haul/plow and can't afford to buy another one)

I just filled up my daily's 21 gallon tank today for $3.91 and it hit $75. I do this once a week and my wife fills her Honda Civic up almost every 10-12 days. So total, we're looking at $380 for the two dailys, at the minimum. Now add in a 16 gallon tank on the coupe that has a stock SBC with 2X4s on it. That'll set me back another $60 or so. Thankfully, I was able to swap out to that T5 a couple months back or it would really suck.

My daily gets about 12-14 mpg and the coupe, (if I can keep my foot out of the second carb), gets about 18 mpg. If I can prove to myself that this number stays consistant, when it gets to a point where I can lock it up, (windows, roof and hood), it's going to be my new fair weather daily driver. Even if I only get to drive it once or twice a week, it'll save me some green. Plus, I'll have the coolest car in the lot at the end of the day!

About 450.00 a month for me...that's just to work and back and doesn't count the wife's gas or any cruising. Ridiculous!!!

I dont want to know. Its alot more than it used to be. Ive noticed I ride my motorcycle more for things I used to just jump in the truck for, like payin bills, small stuff around town.
