I am hoping for some advice from my extended family here on the HAMB. I have an Uncle I can ask for help sometimes but I need some help clearing up what I have to do.

I am trying to mate a 37 Lasalle tranny to a 48 Caddy engine. I know it will bolt up, but I do not know what all I will have to change.

Flywheel, Flywheel Cover, throw out bearing and sleeve, clutch arm, bell housing???

I must admit I don't understand what they all do even, so I would really appreciate someone to take the time to give me a little lesson here and maybe help some others who are getting over there head as well. So while explaining please understand that you are talking to someone who is... I wouldn't say over my head but... definitly green.
