Hi guys, just got my copy of "seven second love affair" from the states, a doco on Rick (The Ice Man) Stewart. If you havn't seen it, it's well worth a look.

Oh yeah, and I had to get a post on page 250 :D

I believe this thread from end to end is 1320 feet long.

It never ran but I know it is being restored by a drag museum owner.

I wouldn't doubt that this photo was posted earlier, but it is worth a second look.
Nobody would doubt the nads on Don Prudhomme after seeing this shot of him approaching the traps at 200 MPH, on fire, with the front end off the ground by six feet.
John Force mentioned this shot at Don's "retirement from driving" dinner at the Playboy Mansion a few years ago. Force said, who could doubt anyone who could keep their foot planted on the gas during all this chaos.
    Prudhomme didn't lift...

The rolling chassis was here in Indiana a few years back--along with the Bad Habit Fiat, Landy's injected AWB Dodge, the Super Torino AA/FC, a Glidden Pinto, a Tasca Mustang, the Super Mustang dragster, the Wheeler Dealer/ Old Master dragster and lots of other neat stuff all in the one building.

1000 ft sucks,if tracks can't extend to handle modern cars then they should'nt run them,Pomona and Englishtown {and others} are a big part of drag heritage but if they've had their day so be it.

It has the look of Eddie Hills twin Pontiac but stretched with a full body. The engines have about the same attitude and those 12 inch Halibrand kidney bean midget style front wheels.

And if you put your glasses on it says Eddie Hill on the side of the body.

In one of the Sports car magazines of the time there was a feature on a white KK sports car of this design set up for road racing. .... I may still have the issue, not sure ... but was that car one of these two or maybe a third car built?

I don't know the car, but that's a great old shot of Capitol Raceway.

Sounds like they'll find a way to slow the cars in the off-season and go back to 1320 in '09 (at least I hope they do).
