A car running a magneto will not shut off without the proprer kill switch hooked up(that means its own toggle switch)...before mentioned car will also come to life on only a bump of the remote starter switch and proceed to try and make its own road whether the owner is ready or not...thus creating alot of body work on the front end that wasnt needed before hand

When removing the stuck piston from a caliper by using compressed air, make sure none of your fucking fingers are in it's path of exit.....

Great Stuff - that spray foam in a can. It doesn't come off your hands with anything except sandpaper or a pocket knife.

I have now learned this at least 3 times. Including right now.

Putting the steering wheel in the absolute most comfortable driving position, will make it impossible to get in or out.

SAFETY FIRST!..........at all costs. That includes SAFETY GLASSES!....could of saved myself a few hundred dollars at the Emergency Room on that one! NEVER assume the neutral safety switch will do what it was designed to do!...it's always best to check to see if you're in a gear or not! NEVER go ANYWHERE without a fully functional FIRE EXTINGUISHER!.....my 2 cents only.

Don't stand in front of the shop press when pressing off axle bearing, you have better luck standing in front of load gun.

Put the water passage adapter on an Edelbrock FE intake BEFORE you bolt the intake down on the motor and block the hole with the waterpump.

    2. A heavy wire brush on a 4" grinder is dangerous

Take care when storing parts you obtain for later use, or you'll end up tracking down and buying a lot of parts a second time.

1: Never "think" you know whats wrong

2: Dont spend money on a part you dont need (see #1)

3: Its ok to feel like a dipshit after you found out whats wrong.... i.e. having the wires on the dizzy cap, one position off.... found this after weeks of trying to get an engine to start... one new part at a time

To estimeate the time it takes to do a job:
    Make your best guess
    Double it
Increase the unit of measure by 1

So... a 3 week project will probably take 6 months.

make dam sure all the needle bearings are in there correct place before installing a u-joint, never think you can get by with one less needle bearing in a u-joint, hammers and u-joints dont mix well.

    Most recently...

It's never a bad idea to get a second pair of hands to help lift something awkward and heavy

    Jack stands can't hold everything

Middle fingers don't belong between an axle and a jack stand
