    Finally driveable!

The '05 5.7L Hemi mated to a Dodge Dakota 5-speed sits in a '27 Model T-style frame. The body sits nicely, with no channeling.

Now it's time to have some fun!

Very nice looking rod. As previously stated, suprising how nice it is with the modern P/P.

It's funny you should say that!

We just took this pic at an old State Mental Hospital!!!

    I haven't dyno'd it yet, but it's around 400hp, and can't weigh 1600lbs.

I've got custom engine computer from Street & Performance, a Winter's quick change with Carrera coil-overs, Camaro front discs, Eldorado rear discs, KSE sprint car power steering, and much more.

    That's a keeper!

"Does that thing have a hemi in it?" :p

Maybe do some rough casting (no polish) to replace the bagpipes laying over the intake manifold...

I like the blend of the traditional and the modern. Very tasty.

I actually dig the whole car. At first when I saw it was a modern engine I was saying NO NO NO NO, but it very quickly grew on me! Stance and overall feel of the car, very appealing. I'll take it.

that thing looks sweet! could you post some more pics and some close ups, I have a line on a few newer hemis, and have been hesitant to throw them into an older ride, but it seems you made it happen without looosing the integrity of the ride, lets see some more shots, do you have any of the build?

everything but the "engine" is dead on. great stance, perfect preportions, great wheel/tire...then there's that space between the firewall and the radiator. put an actual engine rather than that "engine" in there and you're set.

the stance is good. the color is good. loose the radials and the modern engine and it would be awesome.

now thats not saying i wouldnt drive the shit outta that car, it looks awesome but that big plastic hunk in the engine bay kinda kills the vibe.

    Thanks for all the input.

It's an Infiniti/Nissan color - Platinum Graphite, with Mercedes satin clear.
The Frame and Wheels are powercoated. I can't remember the name/code for the powdercoat, but Jason at Bare Metal Customs did them for me.

I'll try and post up-close pics by the end of the week. (Most of the build pics got lost,
all I have are some bodywork pics).

i love it but im partial to new age powerplants in old traditional rods. Shoot I dont even show my motor on here anymore because its not worth the hassle until its drivable.

I absolutely love everything about that car and I cant wait to see more pics including close ups and how you hid the wiring. Ill be subscribing to this thread so dont you dare start a new one. God knows on this site the threads just move right along.

    Killer ride man

The quality of the build looks outstanding, I just have to say I'm not feeling the engine cover stuff. Kind of blows the whole thing for me. Now a nice louvered hood with no sides would do a world of good.

  29. Thats what I am talking about. Freekin nice man nice great work. Got any mors pics?

  30. me like , the engine covers throw it off a bite .. but its a very cool ride ..
