Hot Rods Banger Powered Cars - Post your pics here

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Greg Stokes, Jul 23, 2008.

  1. There is so much interest in banger motors here I thought it would be great to have one post where we can post our banger powered cars.
Be it full bodied cars or race cars - as long as its banger powered - lets put it all here.
Its sometimes hard to keep up with who has what, looking forward to seeing what you guys post on this thread. I will start with mine:
    Project 29
29 Model A closed cab pick up
A motor, Thomas twin intake, Mallory ignition, Hallock exhaust manifold, Winfield head and cam
T5 on owner adapted bell housing
Dropped I beam and Ford V8 rear end on torsion bar suspension

Mine's a Ford Model B, with and OHV Miller Hi-Speed Head. 12 to 1 Compression ratio. Stromberg 97 carburetors. Full pressure oil. with separate filter and oil pump. Counterbalanced five main crank. The photo was taken seven years ago at Monterey. Since then, I've added a 32-35 Ford front axle; and 17 inch Dayton knockoff wheels. Plenty of photos elsewhere on this site. :)

This engine looks a bit cluttered but has crossed Australia three times. B block, counterbalanced crank, Lion Speed Head, Weber 32-36 carb, 34 four-cylinder tranny with 40 gears, Mitchell Overdrive, Datralley cam. Runs at 60 mph all day, over 400 miles in a day, in 100 degree heat.
