Here is my 60 Starliner fresh out of the pasture. 68k original miles with almost no rust. Original paint and interior. She runs perfect and the radio still works. I'm the third owner and was lucky to get the orginal title..
nice! looks like you're off 7th Street? I see those funky traffic signs in the background sweet ride man, post up more pics!
thats killer ride. nice to know the history too. post more pics. some guy named kirk here has one....
Six, Y-block, or 352 FE (which was stroked the following year to produce the 390). zellerware; I'm glad to see the "customs" prefix attached. Do you have specific plans?
Looks great! I grew up riding in a '60 starliner. That was my families daily drive'n family car. There was also an option for a high performance 352 with solid lifters, headers and head work (360 HP rated). And, you could get them with a three on the tree and over drive. Mike
People say what they will about the "patina" argument, but the rub through on the decklid and tops of the quarter panels, to me, is beautiful. Nice find... Also cool how cool the Starliners look in custom or hot rod form.
When I was a kid my buddy had a brand new 60 Starliner(black with red interior) with the hipo 352 and the three speed with overdrive and that was one fast sumbuck. I have loved those cars ever since then. Had a chance or two to buy one but had a family and all that stuff so that ended that. Cool rides.
noop, just getting the trans rebuilt.. This car is a survivor for one and i put most of my time in my 32 roadster and 32 5 win coupe both of which have been in our family since 1960. The roadster was my dad's highschool car and the 5 win has a 331 hemi on a completely original rust stock henry j body..
Here is my Dad's Starliner at Americarna, KIRK was there too and may have pics of it as well. It rolls on Torq Thrust Originals and runs a very healthy 428 FE with tri power, ported heads, roller cam etc. Backed by a 4 speed with a hurst shifter
One of my favorites is the Satrliner that Cole built a few years back.. can't find a picture of it at the moment (new computer at work) but it has a lot of really subtle custom work.. -juan
I'll say it again...I loove your dad's car. BTW it looks like I'll be back for Americarna 2009, but don't tell anyone.
