I got a very cool five carb mcgurk for a 302, and I have spent a long time on the hamb and net trying to find out what type of carb goes on it, no success. I have tried a few styles, and I know a 235 style is the same at the base, but too wide and hits the next carb in line. I remember reading about it sometime in the past on carbs to use, anyone up on the mcgurk quirk.

Far as I can tell, this ones never been installed on anything.
Would they have originally been all blank on the carb locations?

I'm not a ford guy or a six cylinder guy for that matter but man thats one cool *** looking manifold. That will turn a few heads for sure. I owuld have to say it looks liek two of the 5 carbs are dummy's. Would make more sense to have 3 into 6 but I can't see any otrher reason why they would block off the other two ports but I didn't see any holes for carb studs either. If that puppy did run 5 Stromber's good luck tuning that monster. I knwo my buddy would tell you to block em all of but the center one.

    Good luck....

Same casting was used for 3 or 5 carbs, machined as needed. Stromberg BXOV was the drag racing carb of choice. Zenith & Stromberg will fit on 5 carb setup, most others won't clear each other.
Do the tech search for Stovebolt intakes - huge amount of info in it.

Ramblur - do you know if yours is for a 235 or a GMC? There are Howard 3 - bolt carb versions for both engines, but I'm not sure on the McGurk one barrel 2 - bolt model.

Somewhere around here I have a Howard 5 carb three bolt base version for a Chevy 235. The carb spacing is so tight that you can't actually fit all 5 carbs on there. There is room for 5 Strombergs on the Howard GMC version.

    Later, *****6

Obviously not a Chevy guy or a GMC guy either, so that doesn't leave room for much else!:D

I have read through the stove bolt threads, and a few others, here and on the net. I still cant find out what carbs fit. Does anyone have a pic of a fivecarb Mcgurk with carbs on it, the large two flange carbs that is. The pic of the blue intake is whaat I have with all the holes open from when it was cast.

GMC,as far as I know. This came with an old Ohio dirt trackers stash of
GMC stuff,2 engines and a bunch of parts,pop-up pistons, aluminum flywheels
etc. Funny thing is the intake is NOS and he ran a factory intake converted
to 3 carbs. I'll have to check to see what kind of carbs came with it next
    time I'm up there.
