Yup, miss the 'sweetie' reporting on her road trips. Several HAMBer's take cool pics but Denise use to include a report to go with the photo's. At least you could put a face to a HAMB handle and that was neat even if I can't remember them all. It's rare to have a female interested enough in the hobby to drive a hopped up machine to events around the country, take decent photo's and add some woids. It takes time to load pics let alone come up with narration to go with them so I understand the desire take a break but I'm hoping the 'Lois Lane' in her will take over and she'll at least give us a road report every so often. Please Denise, will ya?

Hell yeah,I miss them. But I,and I'm sure everybody else, respects her decision. If she ever changes her mind,"back by popular demand",will surely be an understatement.

  4. I am really being hopeful that Denise gives coverage of the KKOA Lead Sled Spectacular, Salina, KS. This event is this weekend, and she might be there. I love her excellent photography and the wordy coverage! She gives life to the event. Guys usually give boring coverage about engine specs., and close up shots of tail lites. Denise gives you the whole car, the people, and the total event!

  5. Did I miss a thread somewhere (entirely possible here on the HAMB)? I don't remember seeing anywhere that Denise was done posting her excursions.

She posted a while back that she needed to take some time to spend with friends and family. Her trip reports were taking away from that, so she decided to slow down a bit.

While I really miss reading her road reports, I can understand why she's not doing them as much.

  7. Hang on to your hats hotrodders, the dynamic duo are in our city, Omaha , as we speak. The always accomodating Malcolm has them holed up at his pad, he had a welcome bbq last nite which I could not attend as I am trying to get "my girl poly" together to make the trip to Salina for the KKOA gig. My passenger side window took a dive yesterday and I had to get that repaired, as well as duct taping and bailing wiring some other things together to withstand the trip. Malcolm has set up a cool shop tour and Speedway museum visit for today. Then they are haulin booty for Salina for the Friday nite drags. If time permits and we are lucky they will do a event/adventure post on all this. I am excited about seeing them in Salina this evening. So hang on gang a new travel adventure might just unfold. --Sololobo

I can take pictures but the words do not flow from me. Denise abilities to put the pictures in context with the event make me jealous...

  13. She does a great job wth these adventures and should be paid to report on her journeys. If she turns pro we can probably kiss these freebies goodbye. Was fortunate enough to meet her at a gas station about a mile from my house when Olds was still in primer and just seats for an interior. I wanna be like her if I grow up.

  14. Being on another continent,me and I.m sure, loads others, enjoy the girls stories,to( it seems),every rod run in America!!

  15. Hi Denise and Megan. Ya might be too busy to do a full report, but I hope ya say Hi and let us know how the highways and byways of the car world are holding up.

Someone else should step up and fill in for a while. Probably won't be the same but still makes for good reading here.

    I don't miss them!

Those pictorials have been known to occasionally eliminate my plausable deniability!!

Just kidding "sweetie", they are awesome!

Yes I miss them, but I also understand the amount of time it took to do them, and other things not getting done.
Cruise on Denise summer is to short up here in the north not to enjoy every minute of it.

    No point at all. :)

Sometimes there doesn't have to be a point to a post or comment. Right? :)

The time spent on the road, then posting with the commentary, plus everyday life working, family, etc. We fully understand Denise, you've done so much for the enjoyment of us all. When,or if,you resume, we will appreciate the efforts that much more.:) Thank You.
