The Matador.........pretty cool to see it.

I wish that I would have taken more pix of the Matador, but the rain was kind of moving in. I found this "Vintage" shot on the HAMB from searching......Cool.

Yea, yea I know that I wasted my memory card space, but what the F*%k.......it had a barb wire roof........I had to chuckle.

Second pix.....the Jeter boys........I was going to stop and say hi earlier, but I had a handful with 40' Ford Drums from "carkiller".

This green car was a Jeffries custom........but I swear that it looks like "Brewsir's" old car from Calif.

Neat shoebox........and the guys hazed Jen for not helping me carry the "greasy" 40' Drums to the car........the wife had white pants on and there is no way that I would have asked for help.....even though she would have.

El' Jefe's car before the rain hit.

    A very fine looking 40'

I went to school with Bill Hines grandsons. They graduated before me. My dad went crazy when I introduced them to him.

Oh yea, and we met Stella Stevens.........Wow......she had some great pictures.......but, she has not "aged" well.

And I saw the McPhail "T".......Very, very cool.........I could not get a pix as Dennis was driving out of the event.

Mental note to self........stop in Salina on the way to Bonneville for gas, it was only $3.65 and the E85 was $2.89.

    Hey,

Great pictures and thanx for posting them, kinda makes me wish I was in
    Kansas!

Can anyone advise, in the picture of "The Matador", the one with the
gentelman standing in front of the AMT building, is that one of the Alexander Brothers or the late Bud Anderson?

    Thanx,

    Swankey Devils C.C.

    Very Cool!

I had to chuckle at the fact that an 80 year old man was chopping a top at a car show instead of relaxing or something... but he probably loves to work..

  21. Cool pix. I have a bunch of the Matador from the Turkey Rod Run in 1992 I think it was. Some guys hate t, but it is still one of my favorite customs.

He would get the young guys lined out in the morning before it got too hot and then would stay under his E Z Up tent with his wife selling his t shirts and posters until they needed his advice. He laid out all the lines where the cuts were to be made and etc. It was way too hot for him to be outside working. I bet he can get more done at home in a shop.

No doubt. Major props to him for as noted, showing another generation how to do it correctly.

I imagine there are many who would pay him to work for him for a bit.

I saw "Twisted Okie" and the "Transmission kid".....and asked where you were at and they said that you were at a local show.

    See you at the Drags....
