This was by far,my favorite car there! This guy bought it from the original owner. He put new tires on it,spent $95 having the ORIGINAL paint buffed. He showed me and R Cole all the cool stuff. The original owners handbook, with all the do***entation, from where he bought gas to all the maintenance records. Great guy too...

That 39 Ford was a 2 owner car- all original right down to the paint, drivetrain & interior. I talked to the guy for probably 30 minutes. Great guy.
He caught us off guard. When we came up to him & asked about origionality- he said he had plans to strip the car, repaint & install a crate SBC. He must have got a kick out of the look on our faces.

So where's the pics of my not so HAMB friendly car?:p
Hint- it was across the street from the 39.;)

My buddy took a bunch of pic's of your car. I'm not much into Roadsters. I tend to look for Customs and original looking Hotrods. You should have said something to me,but then,I spent most of my time at the Old Ford Store.

  11. Wonder if there are construction photos of that killer Buick 3-window...point me in the right direction!!!!

I know there is. I'm sure somebody on here knows the owner. He was wearing a Dragon Shop t-shirt today. Maybe he got the work done there.

I was also over at the Ford Store- enjoying a bit of food out back.
Me? I like it all. Originals- customs- you name it.
There were some nice rides out back too.

Back to the 39. I asked the guy where he found the car. Said it was right under his nose. It was sitting in a garage for years. Their kids & his kids played sports together. Did you notice the scratches on the rear p***enger quarter? That was from the wife pushing in & out a front throw mower & basket next to the car for years. He had to move the mower just to get the 39 out of there.
About the only thing changed on the car was the wiring- The Early Ford Store provided the cloth covered replacement wiring. He said when the wiring was stripped out- there was 3 ft of bare tail light wiring laying on top of the gas tank!!!
Price of the car? Previous owner wanted a new Harley- new owner took him down & bought it!

Can you tell I love this car?:D

He told me and R Cole the same story. He was a very nice guy. I wish I could find something like that.
My car club, the MoFo's,had the BBQ going out back. That's where all the cool cars were. I know most of those guys.

Boyd got wind of the car around 7-8 years ago. He came to look & buy the car to do a TV show around & turn it into a Boyd Belly****on & throw a big wad of cash at the owner to seal the deal.
Boyd took 1 look at the car & said it was the straightest unmolested 1 owner rust free 39 he had ever seen. I guess even Boyd had some taste- he told the owner to leave it exactly the way it was- untouched & didn't buy it.
    Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd kill for a find like that!

Great pics guys. That 39 is outta sight! Thank god Boyd had enough sense to leave it alone.
