Well, finally have a little time to breath since yesterday. My feet are like rawhide from so much walking. Next year a golfcart is in order.

We had about 450 cars show up which was awsome. I say about because we were a little disorganized at the begining. I won't get the spectator number until next week, but it got pretty crowded after it cooled down a little.

All the bands played their hearst out in the heat, and the people seemed to really get into it. The Blasters were AWSOME!!!

I took about 12 pictures all day long, so I need everyone to post up their pictures so I put them on our web site.

Thanks again everyone and we'll see you next year, hoprfully in the same spot.

Lots of cars and people and overall I had a good time! This year it did seem a little disorganized and sketchy. I understand that it is basically a big party, but there were also a lot of families with kids there. I don't think it was a very good idea to have cars cruising around the lot the whole time. Just asking for something bad to happen. Right around 11:30 two dudes that appeared to be absolutely shitfaced got in to some very dangerous shenanegans. A dude in a chopped(toppless) truck was pushing another guy in a 64ish Impala through the crowd. Rammed the Impala so hard and fast that he spun him out right through the crowd. There was a little girl with her mother that was almost run over by this bullshit. At first I thought they were fighting or something, but it kinda seemed like they knew each other and were just fucking around. Anyone know what that was all about? Just seemed a little scattered out. This is one of my must attend shows of the year and don't want it to grow out of control. Thanks again.

Yeah, I have to admit it was a little disorganized, but mostly due to the size of the venue. It's a huge lot for 10 guys to try and keep control over.

We've been very lucky through the years of having other club's members watch our back when things looked liked they may get out of control. But now that we may have a place to return to, we can make some adjustments for next year.

I am happy to say that except for the incident above everybody seemed well behaved and had a great time.

Awesome show once again I wish my car could have made it 3 out of the five we had shit out on the way and I have a feeling we weren't the only ones that happened to. Thanks Brewsir for the ride back to the hotel we really appreciated it.

That Best Wagon award was bad ass. I had to pry it out of Budget's hands, he didn't want to give it up.

Thanks to all the Grinders that showed up!!!

    Hey Bruce,

Great show. Thanks to you, Jay and all the rest of your "gang".

I didn't see the incident mentioned above.
I had friends show up who are "car" people but not used to our brand necessarily.
All who came had a great time and commented over and over on what a fun event it was and were amazed at how well behaved and polite the crowd was.

It really says alot for the people who put on the show and the attendees that you can have that large of a crowd partying and have so little problems.

    Thanks again,

    Ed

OH.... and if you are willing, I'll make next years trophy smaller!

Even as big as it was, that was one of the best trophies I've ever seen. The hand tooled leather piece that replicated our flier was awsome. If you make one next year you do what you do best, engineer it.

Also, for everyone's knowledge, Ed got a trophy for the best engineered car, picked by a Reno custom shop.

I enjoyed the show like always, is Cal Expo allowing a return show next year? or will it be same bat time different bat channel again.

edit: actualy pretty decent women this time, something traditional shows usually lack....
