Well, as they say, I did not see an artshow started.
Finished this one up yesterday. I think I now have this theme out of my system. Hope you like it. Yeah it looks like alot of my other ones...

I was just thinkin' the same thing... looking for an art show. It's been a while. My excuse comes in the form of a 67 bonneville wagon.

  3. Great to see some hand-brush art, Lowcab and Dankyd!

OK, couldn't let the current Car-Toon Art Challenge pass without contributing!

This car I've long been wanting to do a cartoon of; Verne Hammond's '34 Coupe.

I got a little carried away on the detailing; see close-up below. I guess that's the price you pay when you're doing vector art; you keep zooming in on the screen all the time adding stuff. The tool is Adobe Illustrator.

    Beautiful stuff everyone.

LowCab- love the blues and greens in that piece. Awsome.
Dankyd- sweet work as usual, esp. Midnight in LA
Dutch & gearhead- great designs. very clean

I did this one for a buddy of mine. It's a painting of his mom on her ol Harley from 1939-1940. Cheers

Damn you guy's are all amazing painters. Von Franco, I really dig the fact that you can't tell that piece was done on the computer. A really nice traditional aproach to the medium. Very impressive so far.

Wow-- nice work everyone. Dutch-- that's awesome! VonF-- Wacom rocks! (I tell people all the time that using a comuter w/out a Wacom tablet is like someone trying to play piano with oven mitts on!)

I'magearhead-- you can adjust the sensitivity of the tablet in the control panel/system preference screen. If you're using a Graphire, they do seem a little too clunky for me, but I use a 9x12 Intuos.

Couple of shirt designs I've done for some upcoming shows.

    The following is OFF TOPIC

Hope to add car stuff before the week end but, for now, here's the Arylic painting my newly 13 year old daughter Abby did for her Mom's Birthday. It's her first free form painting. I need to get her to do some hot rods...

Jeff. I like the moody look of the first post.
The shadows and hilights are very alive.
