Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by rat bastad, Jul 31, 2008.

  1. I just score all my Stray Cats tickets for Feb 09 in Melbourne, Australia. The first show sold out in a day, same with the second.

Third show wont last long either....... AWESOME !!

Last time I saw the guys, it was in 91 and I managed to get to all their gigis in Melbourne. Awesome stuff back then.

Lookin forward to Feb next year !!

We got to see them last year in Kansas City. It was my first time to see the
Stray Cats perform and we had a blast. Kongrats on the tickets....

They are a very good live band. Not many of those around anymore.

I was at this show also. It was the first time seeing them for me too. I've seen Lee Rocker a few times but never all 3 Straycats together. What a show, some of the best live music I've ever seen and it was in a real cool old restored theater. Gary

Damn!! I loved to go. I haven't seen them in person since the early 80's. I'm hoping that they extend their farewell tour to here in the states and do at least one venue not a gazillion miles away form me.

Are they still billing it as the Farewell Tour?

According to their website the Down Under and European tours are still advertised has the Farewell Tour. Other than a show in Calif in July 08 there is no other listing for other shows in the US at this time. They did a bunch in the US last year, but nothing so far for 2008 or 2009.:(

The BSO does Christmas shows around the country, but not the same without Rocker and Slim Jim.

I've never seen them together. Seen Brian Setzer, it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

    Are they playing in Hollywierd?

I just heard that Cheech & Chong forgot what they were arguing about 25 years ago (memory/what memory?) and are getting back together too!

Great band to see Live. Last time I saw them was at the Brixton Academy, 2 months before I moved to the States. I have everyone of their Albums on Vinyl including some rare ones but I had to leave them back in the UK. One day I'll bring them back with me.

I saw the Cats together in 92 (I think) for the Choo Choo Hot Fish album tour, in New Haven, CT.

I saw 68 Comeback Special at Mohegan Sun Casino, and I've seen a BSO show.

Just real good stuff, now matter how you slice it.

    Pete
