Very much like Dodge Desoto and Plymouth from early 5o's. I got a set of Desoto that where painted white on the outer ring. Got two more that are all stainless.. They do say the car name in the middle however. $.02's

I came across them once on ebay.. should have bought them, they went for less than $50.-
I cant remember what they where listed as... but they are aftermarket custom pieces.
If you look for other Valley Custom cars you will find out these where the favorite hubcaps for Neil and Clayton, they used them on a lot of there customs

Also the hubcap in the center left looks a lot like it... The scan is a bit blurry so I'm not sure.

This is a scan of the 1954 Eastern Auto Catalog... (Scan by Custom Cory)

Those are different, than the once used on the Valley Custom car.
The Night Prowler caps are smooth, while the old hubcaps had a lip inside... much more atractive!...

I had a set of those ahile back, 1 piece Full Moon style.

They are NOT MoPar of any vintage, They are an old aftermarket cap.

I found mine in an Old guys Garage here in town, They had a uniform coat of rust & needed to be re-chromed.

Traded them to a friend & he Powder coated a set of 4 '36-'39 wheels for my Daughters Roadster for them.. He just HAD to own them !!

Definitely old aftermarket; early '50s. They were available in both 15" and 16", and were just known as "Moons" in my area (before Moon spun aluminum discs appeared). I know they're currently available; places like Night Prowlers are a good bet.

  22. I know they used to sell lots of Cal Van parts at Kragen's and Scherba's auto parts stores in the '70s and probably earlier. Mostly dress up chrome stuff made in Taiwan.

I was just informed by John Williamson, that those hubcaps from the initial post where aftermarket parts designed and produced by George DuVall.

These are the ones I talked to you about at Iola, but it doesn't look like they're the same ones. They're different from the Night Prowlers ones, these have a pronounced lip around the edge, but they don't have the rib in the center like the ones you're looking for do.

Plus, someone drilled them for Lancer centers and the one got smushed. How hard would it be to add that center rib to a flat one? Keeping it straight on a bead roller might be tough.
