Althought all the entries are cool I think this has turned into a heavy weight battle between Zombie and Norwell. I sure hope Jeff has a comeback because I would love to see more!!! Have fun judging this one Nate

OK Nate, couldn't let this art challenge pass without contributing!

This car I've long been wanting to do a cartoon of; Verne Hammond's '34 Coupe.
I'm not sure if it's a bona fide HAMB-car or not but at least it keeps popping up in the event-coverage pics on here...

I got a little carried away on the detailing; see close-up below. I guess that's the price you pay when you're doing vector art; you keep zooming in on the screen all the time. The tool is Adobe Illustrator.

 

Ger! Vern's cars is one of my favorites! that put a big smile on my face.

man.. you guys are knocking this one out.

 

Is this on canson paper? colored pencil?

thanks for all of the compliments fellers. im looking forward to seeing what ol' jeff has in store for us next. i still have one to do for my daughter now, so i am hoping to get 1 more in before the deadline. i am leaving in the morning for the hotrodarama in washington and wont be back until next week, so i will be cutting it close.

Ok, here goes it. I did this by hand with title and background in Photoshop. I've really been getting into the channeled and Z'd As. Here is my take based on my favorite.

Well, those who know me know I don't do this kind of artwork. I definetly no Zombie or Norwell. I just thought I would join in the fun with it anyway. Here is my 1 hour contribution as feeble as it is. Did it in honor of my kids getting back to school eventually.

well ill show off my little cartoon of my car. im making a comic book based on my life and friends. i only have one page where my car appears but eh, why not show it off, its not anywhere near the quality of some of the art you guys are posting. oh yea ignore the asian part haha

I also grew up on Cartoon mag. I use to draw cars like the ones in the mag, but I haven't tried to draw in over twenty years. That is until tonight! This challenge and seeing the first drive video of Tudor's coupe got me excited and I tried drawling it. Unfortunately, all i have is a no. 2 pencil and some old paper. Tell me what you think.

Absolutely, you can hang it. I tried the hand and shift knob through the top, but it just didn't look right. I will probably get some different supplies and make a final version for the contest.
