Event Coverage Bonneville role call...Who's going to speed week?

We have a group of five guys comin. Stoked. it's my first. I've been wanting to go since the day they popped me outta the factory

 

that's awesome! i've always wanted to see the #1034 in action.

 

Kathy, is this you by chance? I took this last year in the start line.

That's Kim Vincent, Peter's wife. She got to make a pass in the Rolling Bones XFGR. Also, that's their son, Nathan in the black t-shirt.

I'll be there. Supporting my girlfriend who will be driving an old Vesco built lakester. We'll arrive Saturday afternoon and will leave at the end of the week, or when we run out of engines to blow up.

 

Not going to make it this year... First time I've missed in 6 years. If you're staying at the KOA say hi to Lucy for me.

 

Saturday (the 23rd), not sure if I can swing by the 17th (Sunday, for Tech) but doesn't look good. I'm praying for NO RAIN, and not too much wind this time.

 

Will be there Sunday, can't wait....

I can sympathize, till about 14 hrs ago I wasn't going to be able to either.

We are hard a work getting everything ready to leave. One week from today we start west. I am doing some fiberglass repairs today to the race car and some other stuff to get the tow vehicle ready. I woke up about 4:00 AM today. I went to the family room and watched a dvd of Bonneville until breakfast time. I guess I am getting excited.

I saw on the land speed board yesterday that Sunday night there will be a nearly full moon rising over the salt flats. Should make a good back drop for our opening party.

Salt Talks at the Bend in the Road is Sunday evening I believe....6pm I think. Everyones invited.

John, let us know what shirts everyone will be wearing on Sunday. The orange ones or the red, white and blue ones, or.....?

Sadly I won't be making the journey across the Ocean this year - absolutely gutted to be missing this extraordinary event.

This year's going to be a monster, so far the weather is hanging in there , but we are having the daily thunderstorms,so common this time of the year, (remember 07 ?), I talked to the guy at the motel and he says so far no water on the salt, KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED !!! The guys from the SCTA are bustin' ass with the drags every day,, god bless em'

This year will be my 27th trip to Bonneville, but my first in my Hemi powered 32 Roadster.
