My 58 Apache Updated pics...found a bed!

I know I posted pics a few weeks ago, but I finally found a fleetside shortbed last week, and I'm pumped that it now has a bed. Here are a couple pics of how it will sit.

You really cannot deny the fact it's fucking cool. I love fleetsides.

Lee Martin, I'm still debating on whether to run a straight 6 or a SBC 350. I love how fixed up 6's look, but I also want a gear drive. Then again, I really love the way nailhead motors look, so who knows. It'll come down to what I find the best deal on when I get to that point.

Your truck is excellent! Any thoughts of shortening the bed a little between the rear of the wheel opening and the rear of the bedside?........Mike

 

Yeah, I've definitely thought about that. There's a light green and grey primer one on the HAMB that was done that way and I love it. It all depends on whether I'm in the mood to cut it up more or not.

 

They're not cheap to build, but a nailhead in your '58 would be pretty unique.

Ah Wyatt, I was wondering if you were going to chime in on this thread Yeah, I tried to get Jeremy to sell me that bed, but he wouldn't budge. Thanks again for giving me the number of the Indian man in Ok. where you found your beds at. It was a little far to drive with gas and all, but I think I'm set now. I'm working hard to get the bodywork started, and starting to buy wiring, engine, etc.... Don't know how much longer it's gonna take. I'm gonna shoot for our TexMex show in March, so I can drive it to Roundup a couple weeks after that. School's starting back up next week, so I won't have a lot of time to work on it now.

Yeah Neel is good peeps, a long ways to go, but I actually drove right by there the week after the 4th of July.
