I got this a while back. The guy said it was a 28**** end, a 30 roadster cab and a 32 front end. Please let me know what all you think it is. Also what year is the top frame? Thanks for all the info. Jack in Ga p.s Some of you seen it at Brads first swap meet of this year .
That is REEEEAL intresting...You might notice that you don't see too many of those engines floating around... Great score, do you have any details? -Abone.
that thing could be really cool, 32 grille/fenders, 28-9 cab (touring back section) the pics kinda show up weird but that might be a 31 wide bed on it. what are your plans for it? for sale?
Im going to put it back just like it is . well maybe a little better. LOL.Im just trying to get all the years correct. I have been told so many different years. Im just getting in to the older cars. I have many 60's Ford muscle cars. Just want some thing most have never seen on the road. I think I have a good start. Thanks for all the info. Please keep it coming. Thanks Jack in ga.
It is a 28/29 RPU doors and cowel with the rear section of a 28/29 touring. looks like some one did a pretty nice job on it at some point. Think real hard. You've seen this done before. Hint: Barris built it, and Brizio restored it.
28 29 roadster cowl with doors. Suspect the back half of the cab is from a phaeton. Definately a Model A box but it has been modified. The rear fenders are Model A and look like they might be glass. The front fenders are deuce. Any pics of the frame??? It would be great if thing was sitting on deuce rails. Can't believe anyone would use A bones with that 429. Pretty interesting. Does it run???
Oddly enough, your truck is so era specific it is like a time capsule. I would, forgive me, restore it to it's former glory. I would even keep the hurricane wheel. They just fit with the top bows and the other mods. It certainly screams 1971 to me. Love it. An amazing score. BlackCherry
Looks like Cragar blower with the snout and arm but on top of a 4x2 intake. Sell the blower for good money and put the funds back into the truck. Cool truck
That motor is*****! I'll take it off your hands and do something with it if you want. hahaha. Wow thats a crazy score!
it reminds me of the boss A bone model kit by tom daniel. i love that truck, but the wheels need to go. click the link, look on the left for "boss a bone" and click on it to see the pic. http://www.tomdaniel.com/85_kits/frm_85kits.html
I saw this in person at Brad's Swap meet. This is KILLER. When I first looked, I about damn near pissed a brick!! Can't remember the asking price, but it was high enough that it left me out. I couldn't "STEP-UP" that far. Yes, the exhaust system was a work of art. The potential here was incredible. Someone did a nice job in the past.
!932 Ford fenders, 28-29 cowl and doors, back paned may be a modified touring car rear section (bent moulding beads match) Bed may be 26-27 T, or else they made filler pieces to fit between the front of the bed and back of cab. Top bows are 28-31 Ford Standard roadster, the 28-29 RPU top never folded. Need more photos of details to be sure. Nice find.
Indeed!! I know a few "resto purists" (Shelby Mustang) who would throw Benjamins at you until you caved...lol Back on topic , you be livin right matee
"Think real hard. You've seen this done before..." Now THAT'S funny... it ain't nothin' but a stock barn find Ala Kart!!
Holly*****!! That thing is 100% WICKED!!! The exhuast is beautiful, and of course so is the BLOWN 429!!! You've got a nice piece there, I would just restore it back to it's former glory, but I would find a better 70's Wheel, maybe Ansen Mags or Cragar SSs....or Tru Spokes...WIDE Tru Spokes!! Sorry I need to put down the 70s Truckin' and Street Rodder mags..... P.S. I've got some swamp land in Florida I'll trade for that!
I have a set of Old crager Aluminum super tricks with the bolts. They were out before the old centerlines. 4" for the front and I have 8" and 10" Im going to try make work on the rear. Jack in Ga
