Been collecting a bunch of pictures from here and from people that have sent me some. Still haven't gotten all that have been promised yet, but here's a start. Also, there's an interview I did at the show and a news clip from the local channel here, KCRA. They're all on our web site: http://www.theoriginalpoorboys.com
Thanks for putting all the pics together Bruce. Look like a great time. I tried to watch your interview on youtube and got a message that it was no longer available? Mike
Well I'm not sure why it's not working anymore, but try this link. http://current.com/items/89150133_midnight_mass_northern_california_s_largest_pre_65_car_show
Bruce for President ! Excellant interview and media coverage my brother ! You make the "Poor Boys" across this great land proud !
Not so sure about it being the largest in northern california....maybe 500 cars short of billetproof....but it was definately a good show!
Yeah, I agree. The kid doing the interview was doing it to build his resume for his future in broadcasting. I'm not sure where he got his info for his opening statement. I only saw him when he approached me later in the night.
Thanks Glenn, but no thanks (for president). I always feel awkward in front of a camera and I know I don't photograph well.
The video is working for me now? You done good! It was enjoyable to watch. Did you happen to get a picture of our trophy and who Skip picked to win it? Just kinda' curious. Thanks, Mike
Mike, most of that day is kind of a blur for me. What I do remember is that the trophy never got on the table until about 30 minutes before the awards. We had it being pinstriped at the show. I think Skip or Deb got pics of it. Can't remember who he gave it to. Hopefully he documented it all. Guess you'll have to wait until he gets back there and he can post up here.
Finally got it uploaded here is a little morsel of me in the galaxie and a 59 chevy at the mass! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bokHxP6nHxc
Finally got home from California. Had a blast at Midnight Mass. Bruce and all the other Poor Boys did a great job. Had a great time hanging out with them and helping out with the show, what little I did. A thank you to Bruce and the rest of the guys. I also have pics of the "Poor Boys Florida" choice and the trophy. It's been a week and a half since the show and I have forgotten the guys name, but I havent forgotten his sweet little truck. If I recall correctly, he also won "Best Truck"
Hey Skip...I was wondering when you were going to check in. I didn't want to work you too much because your suppose to be on vacation. Kathleen said to let Debbie know she really appreciated her help in the booth. Got any more pictures you want me to post on the site? Did the new hat make it back ok?
I have been a little slow catching up on things since I got back. Like replying to this post. Work is something you do when you would rather be doing something else, I was enjoying the show and would have no matter what I was doing while there. I do have about 190 pictures that I took at the show. I haven't managed to get them downloaded to my photobucket account yet, but when I do I will get with you so you can link them. The new hat did make it home just fine and retained all its' hokeyness.
If you ever get tired of Sacremento, we would love to have ya here on the Gulf Coast of Florida with us brother Bruce
