Some of you might know my old pal Clyde,.... Clyde has stayed tight with E.J. through the years and was able to get all the parts to "****** Mary" (The only "****** Mary" still in existence,... several "Widow Makers" still around, but the first 3 were "****** Mary" and this is the only one left ). Anyway Clyde is starting the restoration on the old girl,... and E.J. is making sure he does it right. so here you go, when it's done I'll post more pictures.

In the large picture you can see the side cover behind the spring,.....

I've heard of dragging pipes, but dragging the oil pan? That's just plain crazy...

The guy that drove our C/S 409 '62 Chevy station wagon was neighbors of E.J. for years. The stories he can tell will keep you intertained for hours. What ever you hear about E.J.'s expoits, believe them 'cause even if they aren't true they can't compare with what he has actually done.

Many years ago I went to a drag strip here in Alabama where Mr. Potter was running one of his machines. It started pouring down rain after E J had made 2 p***es. The strip manager told EJ that he would only pay him for the 2 runs he had made. So EJ fires up and makes a full throttel run in the rain and demanded his money.. He lived up to his name that day. Also he would recurt help at the strip as he had no crew. I also recall a 54 or so Ford truck he haul the bike on. Quite a showman.... Thank You Bobby

    E.J was awesome!
I have a signed book by him - met him at some tractor pulls with his tractor called "Double Ugly".
Everything from making his own dyno to dropping an Allison into a station wagon - er - I mean dropping a station wagon onto an Allison!
He's done just about everything - Michigan Madman Rules!

Yeah,..... sorry about that, I was taking a picture of the spring and the side cover was a byproduct of those pictures,... next time I get down there I'll take some other pictures.

I was lucky enough to meet E.J. at his farm in Michigan a couple years ago and have never met a nicer , humbler Madman. He acts like what he has done with his life is no big deal. If you get a chance to read his books you'll find he has lived the life of ten men. He deserves a movie like Burt Munroe's with a ***le like World's Maddest Man.

I'd sure like to buy EJ Potter a dinner sometime! I had a blast watching him when I was a kid!

Thanks Mr Potter, and keep it up!

E.J. is a truly great guy with a quip or a line about everything (In his trademark dry humor),.... not only does he have a book, but he narrates his own video,..... and it is wildly outrageous in his very un***uming nature,..... some of the best entertainment I have enjoyed in a long time (laughed till my eyes started sweating ) . E.J. is in and out of the country a lot these days, He usually sells his books and videos himself, but while he's gone, Clyde handles it for him,
If you want a book or a video, call Clyde at (734) 658-1052.

Actually he sat way back in the wagon,.... when he was done with it, he welded the stock floor back in it that was still attached to the stock ch***is and drive train, put the carpet and interior back in it, rubbed out the lettering and traded it in as a low millage grandma's ride in really nice condition !!!! :D:D:D

He often said he wonders what people must have thought when they went to work on it and found a weld seam all around the floor,.....:D:D:D

It's all in the video and book, with a ton of other really wild stories, all in his dry humor........ it really is a must read/must see deal !
