  2. 145/15 front, 275/16 rear. Customs look cool dragin' their tail, but a hot rod's gotta have it's nose in the weeds.

I went to another So Cal show a little earlier, and saw Grabowski's car (still black) and Ivo's displayed end to end. I agree that they set the standard which has been rarely equalled.

WOW !!! That car is awsome........ 1: to 1: scale Revell kit. My sister bought me that kit when I was a kid, man that kit was too much for a nine year old to build, after two days it ended up back in the box never to be seen again.

Thanks CK. I have the orginal still-in-cellophane '64 Revell '55 model and I put it on the tranny hump when I show the car. That model box art (see my avatar) has got to be among the coolest ever!

Awesome. Your 55 is perfect. Looks like it came right out of a 1966 Rod and Custom.

165/80R15 187T front on Americans of unknown width. Rears are 28x11.50-15LT Hoosier QT Pro's on 8"x15 with 4.5" back space. I had to relocate the springs and wheel wells to even with the frame and flatten the wheel well lip for them to fit and add rear wheel spacers. I can run 295-60D-15 Hoosier QT DOT's on 8"x15 American slots with 3'5" back space without the spacers.

Youre running radials in the front an bias ply in the rear?

Looks like it, works ok. It might be that the rears are 5 times as wide and have sticky racing compound? It ain't a road racer with a strait axle anyway.

I was always told to never mix the two, but I have seen some dragsters run bias bigs and radial littles, so I guess it works.

Nice lookin Caliente, btw. Great stance and perfect tire sizes.
