Event Coverage Hotrod Hayride Photo Extravaganza

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by surf monkey, Aug 10, 2008.

  1. spent the day at the hotrod hayride yesterday....some great cars and some interesting shenanigans on the track...

i even met Mr Weesner...what a nice bloke

first picture is from the track...a sad ending to Jim turnbulls awesome roadster...sadly came together with the wall at the top end of the track and snapped his I-beam and spring

more of the track to come later...but heres a load of photos i took before the rain set in

  24. Tell the bloke with the Hemi powered Model A that it would have run A/Gas not B/Gas. We love that hot rodding has influenced folks around the world, but part of doing it is getting the little bits correct.

Thanks for taking the time and effort to take and post all the photos. My last trip to the UK was some 15 years ago to attend the show at Lord Montgomery's Museum. I was so disappointed that not a single rod was in attendance.

Note to self...don't drill holes in cast axles.

I guess this is why there is rarely ever anything cool around here. It's all over there.

    Super coverage. Thanks.

Sunday morning treats, check list, coffee, computer, kitty cat partner, cool coverage of the hot rod hayride. Don't get much better than that. Had some weather issues, but didn't stop these fun folks. Also got my MoPar fix, 41 Plmouth coupe, older 30's flamed sedan. early 50s Suburban, Pervert 50s 2-dr sedan, killer gold/white Dodge pickup w chrome smoothies, Dodge sedan by one of the coolest camper trailers I have ever seen, 57ish 2-dr hardtop custom, minty Desoto sedan and more I probably forgot. That venue is soo cool, the Pavillion and other buildings are great. Thanx for sharing with your hot rod sisters and brothers in the good old U.S.A. Sorry for the bloke who tagged the wall on the track!! Sololobo
