Anyone running 8.20x16s? Pics please?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by suede55bowtie, Aug 10, 2008.

  1. If anyone is running bias 8.20x16s (4"-4.5" rim) Can you please post pics? Im trying to decide what to run on the rear of my roadster and want something tall and really skinny on '40 wheels. I think the 8.20s are something like 31" tall? Only pics Ive seen have been on 15" rims.

    Lets see some pics!

8.20-16 was a rare size -- I think they were used on ambulances. I knew a guy back when who had them on the rear of his '39 convertible sedan (BIG rake). Sorry, no picture.

Have you found a source for them?

  3. Cokers got BF goodrich 8.20x16s for 16" rims. I just need to figure out if I wanna run those or 7.50s

    These are a size smaller - 7.60 x 16

I thought the 8.20's would be too wide

These are Firestones and they have the good pie crust.

I've got those exact tires on the back of my 29 roadster. they are BIG. bigger than they look in the pics. they were put on there to get a little more rake in the car. as soon as I get a chance I'm putting a reverse I spring in the front to drop it down and get some 7.50 16's for the back. the fronts are 6.00X16 firestones.

btw, these are big load tires. I run 15lbs of air in them....

  8. Out of curiousity, how wide are they?

  9. Hey revkev6,
What width wheels did you mount those on? 4.5"? They make those in just a blackwall??
    Thanks

  10. They come in 4 5/8" whitewall or blackwall if I remember right...

  11. BTT, any more pics from anyone?
