  5. ok Hyfire ! you have the king of fins ! 1959 Cadillac was the car that put fins on the map ! The 1950's oh all the excess !

  6. I just puked ! at that Miata, I would run it over if i saw it ! What the heck !

  7. hot-rod roadster ! that would be me ! I loved seeing the wires on the wagon, was thinking about doing it to mine till I saw yours, but went the chrome reverse route. I did your wagon ! did you have to modify anything ( running disc brakes?) I still have drum front and rear. pm when you get a chance would like to get intouch. Thanks rob-redm

I will take this opportunity to sneak back in here...I've been lurking all these years, I just haven't posted anything...

I got my '59 Ford back in '96 (I think it was) and within the first 2 years had restyled it quite a bit, most notably the implanted '57 Stude fins. She was in her prime in 2001, and after Paso I blew it all apart to finish it for something special, but couldn't find the time or the money to get it done. Life, and other projects have kept it patiently waiting on the side burner.

This was taken 2 years ago.

I will have it back on the road next year...with a whole new look! ;)

By the way, Kustom7777 I dig what you have going on over there...I will enjoy watching that project evolve!

Here's a closeup pic of my '60 Fury fins. It's an old picture.

They're taller than a '59 Caddy's fins measured from top of the bumper to the top of the fin.

Here's what I'm doing with it, and hopefully I'll have some updates on this project in the next month or so.

here's my 62 Caddy and my 61 dodge around 1990 or so. Dodge was my daily driver at the time. believe it or not, the Caddy fit in that little garage with inches to spare.

    I still have the Dodge

Man, that thing looks so cool just the way it's pictured right now. I would have been tempted to restore all the mechanical parts but leave the paint and chrome untouched if I had that.

What exactly are you doing to it? I hope it's still black, just looks so right in black like that. Great car, one of those cars I really would like to own some day.

Great Thread! Here's my '59 Olds more door, (Sorry for the old pics) and another finned project my son and I are tinkering with.... A 1957 Glass Magic Ski Master on a VW Bug chassis. I know... not exactly HAMB material, but it'll be a hoot to cruise in! :D
