History Why does every Willys have to be a gasser or street rod?

I have nothing against g***ers, but why does every(well almost) Willys show up as a g***er or street rod? Where there no Willys hot rods or customs back in the day? I'd love to see a '40 Willys custom s****ing pebbles of the road....

Apparently I'm not the only one who wants to see a chopped 3W '40 Willys with teardrop skirts and all of it's original trim on it.

I think it'd look great. I saw a picture of a restored stock one once, but all others have been nose high g***ers or easter egg pro-street cars.

Probably has a lot to do with the extremely high price of steel bodies.

On the other hand, I've never seen a '49 Merc g***er come to think of it.

Because they look bad *** with the nose in the air. Same as seeing Mercurys...they are big bodied *******s and beg to s****e the ground. Pretty rare to see a g***er Merc, or a Model A taildragger! Although I have seen some *****in Willys customs, I prefer them to go fast, or atleast look as if they do.

I saw a stone stock one two years ago, NOT a handson car, you would be making a bad investment restoring one.

I dunno, I like nose-high g***er Willys' as much as the next guy, but I'd have to say this car pretty much kicks ***.

Someone over here runs a Kustom '41 Willys. Runs flipper caps, really low and Briz bumpers. Looks pretty smart and it's a refreshing change. I don't even think it runs an 8 either.

This has to be the one your talking about..
It's VERY nice, and even though my personal preference is that of the g***er style, you can't deny this car it's due credit..
