now... i still need to get a headlight for it, do something about the minor oil leak... tighten down a few loose ends here and there, i cleaned it all out today though. come tuesday it should be good to go.

im very mad though that every exhaust place i call, they charge 500-650 bucks to do an exhaust system :(

i have the existing one still from my old inline 6 still! i wonder if they could use that, then just make one for the other side. i need an exhaust system, :[ otherwise i cant drive it...... dad wont let me.

    i feel accomplished

this is awesome!!! take down time you are wasting saving up for an exhaust and use that time to do the body work and get it painted!!

i honestly want to do that, but my dad will not let me drive my car now.

he says its to loud. i told him harley's have open headers and dont get pulled over, he said 'oh well your not driving it, period.'

i just wanna drive it again so i gotta get this exhaust :-/

i have an idea on what color i wanna paint it to.... :)
gotta get that body work done first, i just need someone with body experience to help me weld in the panels, i already got them, sitting at home in my shed now

sounds like you may just need a y pipe for the 292.

if i had that it'd be cheaper than the 500 buck exhaust system??

cuz then all the guys would have to do is weld some tubing to the y pipe and that would be it right?

Im sure iof you get some old pipe and buy yourself a muffler you want, it will be a lot cheaper. It cost me just 25-30 bucks to have one of the shops weld my glasspack onm plus a new end.

so you have the exhaust manifolds for the 292? just no pipes and mufflers? and the shops are quoting 5-600 bucks? that sounds like they are quoting a full system, over the rear end and all the way back
clarify with the shops that you just want intermediate pipes to connect to the manifolds - go to kragen and grab a couple of cherry bombs and strap the fuckers to the underside of yer ride
    done

hey rebarsfords, got any more pics of that beaut!!! why havent i seen this 58 on the hamb yet haha? but yea the red wheels gotta be black man, i learned the hard way on that one, trust me they look better black :)

and yea i got both 292 manifolds. so you think they're quoting me for EVERYTHING?

yea all i need is two tubes that run from each exhaust manifold, out the back and a couple of glasspacks or cherry bombs or whatever will give my 292 the deepest nicest sounding loud sound there is haha.

and thanks for the congrats. the only thing i hate is the damn oil leak, i heard these y-blocks have them and now its buggin me that i have one!
