Go to the flea market in American Canyon on highway 29 (about 10 minutes from you) on a sunday. It's pretty much like being in TJ.
TJ? Thats pretty far for somethin ya can get here in Cali. Or is it Mexi-cali. But ****, I'd go to TJ even after I bought the Se**** here anyway....Margarita's ho.....
I see them at most tradittional style car shows. Turlock swap meet is this weekend , I'm sure some one will have some there. I got mine at the Primernationals...
The black primered hot rods, the ones that are fun to drive not the cubic dollar billet trailer queens.
you guys just don't get it do you? you know..... - really tall shifters with a skull shift knob, black primer, red wheels, mexican blanket seat covers, and flames on the exhaust.-- REAL HOT RODS. I'd recommend hooking up with a Mexican girl. Then beg/borrow/steal her blanket..... That's how you get real authentic. -scott noteboom
Ok , RATRODS , but I wasn't going to go there because some people don't like that term. And I'm not here to piss people off just ask a question. Iv'e done the super paint job show car thing , even done the Corvette Concour thing where it was judged with a white cloth. Now my Corvette is alittle dusty but fun to drive and my pickup is several colors of primer and I kinda like it that way, I drive it to work and don't have to wash it every weekend. Gene
I think they are O.K. as a TEPORARY measure until you can afford a full interior trim. This thread is going to get CLOSED soon I think!Don't speak the dirty words!!!
One of my favorite threads of all time Yes I did it too when I got my first ride I personally like them whether they are over-used or not...don't sweat it.
Dude you seem like an OK guy, but this line of questioning is gunna get you killed. Mr. Noteblooms answer is one of the best I have ever seen, on how to aquire one of the rare treasures. I've also heard to go to the same place as the mexicans get them....China. But really, you don't have a mexican market or swap meet near you? alternitives to the mexican blanket, army blankets, old quilts (yes you Bad Bob), you get the just. This whole style of build is about imagination, and being creative with what you have, and not to build a clown car. You seem to be coming around about the at***ude, you like to drive your stuff.
