I figured for the fella's like me who are at home instead of at B-ville, I'd take some detail shots of the chassis as of about an hour ago :D

I'll let the pictures do the talking, if you have any questions feel free to ask...

And a Dyno pull video...45-90 mph in forth gear...and I have no idea why it posted twice, all I did was cut and paste.. :)

They aren't mine! I can't afford stuff like this, that's why my job is so cool, couldn't do it with out some great clients with vision and taste for contrast and style.

Nice! I particularly like the rear wishbone treatment, and the caps for the lakes pipes.

Very nice work, all your fab work is well done. I wish I could do half as good, well not now but later I will (more practice).

Very nice Matt... gets me fired up to get back on the 32 chassis I have in the shop, which will be soon. I just noticed the front wishbone mount setup, I am diggin that. How much did you have to adjust the caster, I seen the weld on the wishbone?

Sweet chassis building- and that Y is gonna sound excellent. Be sure to update with video. :)

Not really that hard to find, but they often get spendy. I scored one for $40 because an ear was busted off the flange. A little brazing, grinding, and drilling, and it's good as new.

You guys just keep putting the bar a little higher don't you? Very nice detail on this one. What body is going to hide all of the neat details? Keep posting the updates, by now I'm used to feeling inferior.:)

Well I guess I should say good ones. IIRC the only vehicle ford offered them on was the tilt cab trucks that had the 292 engine.

Alright I give up. I'm selling my Y-powered T project. This thread makes me sad.

Al, It will be a fully fendered five window.

Thanks guys for the comments. I have done very little fab work on this chassis, it has mainly been my cousin Kevin with my dad building the exhaust.

Impeccable workmanship as always... very nice!!!

What did you do about the Y-block oil filter? Did it interfere with the steering at all?

    Thanks,
    Jake

Jake, it was issue, we ended up using a wix filter number 51056....The thing is very short.

    thanks for the response!

I went through the same problem on my Y-block in an A frame, which I think is tad narrower- I ended up having to run oil lines to a remote filter
